Not a fan of Willis at all. He relies on his arm alone, not full body mechanics. His accuracy will be a mess.

I think Leftwhich is an overrated candidate. The Bucs were inefficient, but had Brady so it didn't matter.

That said, picking Baalke over any HC candidate is absurd.

It’s Arians offense which is completely different from the Air Raid- Run and Shoot that 80% of the NFL runs.  You can throw a lot of touchdowns as a QB, but you’re also gonna throw a lot of interceptions.  That’s the reason he hates Air Raid QB’s out of college, Arians QB’s need to be able to actually process and think in 2.3 seconds, vs having the primary receiver handed to him like Hurts, and most young QB’s.

I call complete BS.  They were trying to lose that game.  And I could care less.  I wish Nickocchio did the same so we would have a pick in the top 10.  Instead of making the postseason only to get completely embarrassed.

Honestly, if they wanted to lose...keeping Hurts in the game was the best way.  I think Hurts was so bad in the 1st half that the thought was trying to get him going into the off season with al least something positive.  Then giving Sudfield his chance to 'shine' double backfired.

Just stopping by to make fun of Desean Jackson. He could be playing in the Super Bowl but got himself released. What an idiot.

They had no business being in the playoffs but losing on purpose is just plain dumb.

The Arians offense is a lot more vertical than the Brady offense. QBs have to hold and step up in the pocket. A lot less quick game.

Would be great news for us!

That's pretty much what happened...it's well documented.

Again, yes, it’s well documented they wanted Sudfeld to play. The new spin is they cared so much about winning they actually cut into Sudfelds playing time.

I would have taken both Levis and Jurkovec over any QB in this class   , none are there yet , but I like what these 2 offer

He'll still get a ring if they win I think.

I’m gonna talk myself into Willis.  I just feel it.  I’ve seen enough of Pickett.  Don’t need to see anymore.  Hard pass.

He’s good enough/bad enough to split the fan base, so he’ll be perfect here.

Its all about big plays, but that’s what Leftwich runs for Arians, because it what the coach wants.   It doesn’t mean Leftwich would or wouldn’t be a good coach.

I can see that being spun that way for sure.  Like I said earlier, Hurts was so bad that going into the off season on that much of a low was to be avoided, but Hurts sucked worse in the second half.

Yeah but you know it’s not the same. Especially because he wanted out

Plus we can spell his name wrong like malek williz

Wasn't his reason for asking for his release that he wanted a better shot at making the SB?

He wanted more playing time.

He didn’t like the lack of reps he was getting. But he’s made of glass so McVay made the right choice

It was mostly money related because he wasn’t going to hit certain escalators if I remember correctly

He seems like a cross between Allen and Lamar Jackson. I mean as prospects, not what they are now.

I see the Allen comparison.  I don't see the same speed that Lamar has. He would be a project QB where you hope he's a lot better in 3 seasons.

I think the NFL has a nearly unprecedented diversity problem.

I think it's time to shake up the competitive landscape to see how teams react.  Do something to equal the playing field with defenses and to incentivize a physical running game over 50 throws per game.

This is an interesting point. If they made rule changes to take away some of the advantages of the passing game, they'd bring up the importance of defense and the running game, encouraging a more diverse applicant pool (compare: racial makeup of QB coaches vs. RB coaches).

I'm guessing this would be as likely as my getting a date with Pam Anderson in her prime, but still an interesting point.

It wasn't as hard as you make it out to be...

Watching Willis, has all the physical tools, and has Josh Allen type potential.  A couple things from this video.

First throw, just drives the ball, can not teach that.

Now for some more nuanced things.

2:40, pre snap recognition.  Looks at the WR to hold the safety, but has already diagnosed the RB to the flat, ball is out quickly for the TD.

3:00, sees the out and up route, the second the WR plants to drive upfield the ball is out.

There are definitely things to work with here, but he needs to sit and learn for at least a year.  But, this is the type of raw potential that teams bet on.  But he's a 3rd round pick for me.

His contract was built on incentives and he wanted more playing time because he wasn't going to hit those incentives with how limited they were using him.

Agree, which is why needs to sit and learn mechanics.
