And here comes Matt Nagy with a steel chair!

There was talk that Jacksonville brought in Fangio for an interview for DC and that’s who they want their HC paired with. That would be a helluva start for Doug if true.

Baalke put together teams that earned the No. 1 pick in back to back years. He’s bad.

Yeah, my post wasn't meant to be a defense of Baalke.

What? He has Trevor Lawrence. The hard part is done. Build the rest of the team.

Have you followed Jacksonville at all over the past decade?   The players are the least of their worries.

Wtf is up with Trent Baalke? He's apparently worth almost giving up Doug, pissing off Byron Leftwich, and not hiring a much more qualified Rick Spielman

Agreed.  That would be huge for Doug.

He's better at the draft than most probably realize, but he's probably an ass.

Well, when you put it that way…

Or... it took Doug 49 days to realize he wasn't getting a better option.  🤷‍♂️

He was the GM in 2020 and 2021. While too early to judge 2021, 2020 was a disaster. They traded away a top 10 pick for a third round pick and Dan Arnold.

For sure. He's got some nice picks in 2021 though. Campbell, Little, Cisco. He had a part in building those really good SF teams too.

I'm not trying to defend the guy though... he just isn't as bad as some think, at least at evaluating talent. The rest of it... I don't know. Trading Henderson for whatever little they got in return was bad.

I think it took the Jags 49 days to bring in someone these HC candidates actually wanted to work with.

I don't know about Foles, but I was just thinking how similar Lawrence and 2017 Wentz are.

Happy for Doug. I wish him well. We'll play him next year too, at the Linc.

I'm happy for him too. Wish he could have ended up at a more stable franchise.  But he has some talent on offense to work with so maybe he has a chance to improve his standing.

I hope he does well.

Vanilla ice cream for everyone!!!!!

He looks like a combo of Wentz and Foles too

No.

He can have Eugene Chung

He’s not the right kind of…

Never mind. I’m staying out of that conversation.

I can't imagine Stout would consider leaving here to go to Jacksonville. Talk about a step backwards.

Same.

I will be interesting to see how he chooses to put together a staff.

I can see him hiring Fangio and handing him the keys, like with Schwartz.
