I think the jets will improve big time , as will Wilson , they will build that line and add weapons

in fact I think they will be most improved

Malik Willis has an NFL arm, hurts does not, but yes Malik Willis is a 1 read and run QB much like hurts, though I'm not sure he's as fast as hurts, definitely not as physical a runner

Willis ran a 4.37 at Auburn in 2018.

I think biggest improvement will be the Texans. And that is purely a guess with no factual evidence to back it.

Watched more Willis. Really quick release. Tight arm motion.

You can't use a clip featuring the best QB ever to play the game and then ask this question.  It's Apples and Beets....not even Oranges.  If this was Hurt's only flaw, then sure.  But that flaw is caused by a bigger flaw....not being able to process the information quickly.  He's just not that kind of QB.  He's played plenty of games in college that it would have at least been coached up to not be as bad as it is now.  But his arm/throwing motion is not what it needs to be either.  He needs a complete rebuild of his throwing mechanics.  And even that won't help with the vision or lack there of.  Can he get better in the pocket?  Sure.  Good enough to make up for all of the other deficiencies?  No.

I think the biggest misconception about Hurt's game is that he got better or developed over the course of the season.  No....I don't believe that.  If he has....then it is minimal.

Unless you do a complete reno...he's a finished product.

The clip is to show how Brady is the textbook example of a pocket passer and what they do to navigate the pocket. Hurts would have a LONG way to go just to start to resemble a similar command of the pocket. Can you coach out his habits of bailing on pockets and playing outside the structure of the offense? Maybe. Is it worth all the time and effort to do so and the value you would get out of it? Most likely not.

Well that's definitely faster than hurts,he didn't look that fast on tape, interested to see what he runs at combine

If he runs a 4.37 at combine definitely won't hurt his draft stock.

Yeah, he doesn't look 4.37 on tape. But if he does run that time? Then all bets are off.

That kind of speed, coupled with his arm talent is the type of raw materials NFL teams will not pass up.

This is great news. One more prospect will fall to 15! Or, maybe the Eagles get a haul in a trade-back situation.

I don’t think you can coach what Brady could do , he was just better

Drew Stanton on Brady

"Most guys that are legends that are quarterbacks are usually one step ahead of everybody else. But when I got down there and saw that Tom was strategically two to three steps ahead of everybody else, it made me realize, you know, just how good he was at doing his job of getting everything set up the way he wanted,” Stanton said.

"And it wasn’t just on the field, it was in the locker room, it was dealing with the media, it was gathering the troops and the preparation. … And then when we got to that final two-week stretch  … to get ready for the Super Bowl. It was as if he even took it to another level … and just said, ‘Hey guys, follow me and we’ll get it done.’ And sure enough we did.”

There's another maybe in this scenario you are failing to take into consideration...

I watched some of him this morning too.

He seems to use a lot of body torque to throw, which isn't bad just different than watching a guy like Strong who just kinda flicks it.

Willis looks accurate on the run as well.

Also watched some bailey Zappe, he seems to be a pretty accurate thrower, lots of bucket throws in stride, he doesn't look like he has a cannon but it's not a noodle either.

Both though are  Short same height 6.03

Zappe has bigger hands 968 to 948

Zappe was arguably the best QB yesterday

I was thinking Bengals but yeah jags too I suppose.

The Bengals pick right after Ja’Marr Chase is their starting LT.  Jackson Carman was taken #42 overall as their LT.  They wouldn’t be in the Dillard market

His height or lack of would give me pause as I tend to favor guys 6'2" and up but Zappe looks accurate on tape.

I like how he bounces on his toes while in the pocket

Willis heel clicks a lot on his drops and is a 1 read take off guy.

I think strong has the best arm on tape and the best base, he rarely heel clicks and has a wide base on his drops and just drops and fires plus he's 6'3" so that's good.

Some of my mothers ashes with my dads wedding band.  Both passed in 2017.  I wore this around my neck twice.  One day was my dads funeral in Jan of 2018 and one other day.  Anyone wanna guess what day that was?

I'm pretty sure the answer is May 28th, 2018: National Brisket Day.  Though the slim thinkers here will assume Feb. 4, 2018, National BDN Day.

Peace to your parents.

In Hurts’ last season at Oklahoma he ran for a 5.6 yards per carry average.  This season at Liberty — playing against scrubs — Willis was 4.5 yards per carry

If you think you’re getting a dynamic runner as part of the package, forget it.  He’s not.

I’m fine trading all the picks if it lands the Eagles a QB Siri believes in. Would it take all 3 to get into the top 5 for our guy?

Forget hurts college YPC he had 5.6 as a pro

Hurts isn't as dynamic as Lamar not many are but as much as I Rip on him as a passer he's a pretty good runner.

I didn't see a lot from Malik on tape that screamed dynamic runner, too many times I saw him get run down by scrubs in the open field

Like I said will be Interesting to see his combine 40

Jackson carman early in the season (weeks 3-8  — missed one start in there) was their starting right guard after su’a-filo got hurt in week 2. Then was replaced by Hakeem adeniji in week 9

Their starting LT is Jonah Williams who they drafted 11th overall in 2019 who’s entering his last year of his rookie contract (however likely gets his option exercised so really two). And he was actually the only bengals olinemen to play really good this year (77.5 grade from pff). Like you said they don’t need a LT.

Not saying they should or shouldn’t do it, but imagine the board/blog losing its mind and melting down if they gave up all 3 firsts to move up to get a QB in what’s considered a poor QB class. Then again the eagles took miles sanders in a draft that wasn’t considered a very strong RB class

If you gave NS truth Serum, you think he wants a Pocket guy(strong) a Little Mobility(say Picket).  Or is he happy with Hurts/Willis.

I think he wants a pocket guy, Rivers couldn't roll out of bed but the dude could stand back there like a statue and fire darts all over the field.

And they got a not very strong RB.

I think Sanders is possibly one of the eagles most overrated players ever

He's always hurt has yet to break 1000 has regressed as a receiver and Lane Johnson had more Tds than him this year.

Maybe it's because he's a local kid, he's been ok lots of room for improvement coming into his 4th rookie season😉
