How about he stinks? Or does that not qualify as a Hurtscuse?

He doesn’t stink, "he’s only 23”

That one reporter right out of the gate asked Shad Khan if they made an offer to another coach first, he tip toed around it and gave a long winded answer that didn't answer the question. Thought that was interesting...probably Leftwich but he didn't want Baalke as widely reported before he pulled out of consideration.

Yeah I didn't know what to think of that. Saw a report that Doug took so long to sign because he resisted working with Baalke and others said Leftwich didn't want to at all. Baalke really doesn't seem worth all this hassle.

Not to forget Hurts will have his most value right now with 2 more years on a cheap contract and coming off a season he made the playoffs.

Pro Bowl alternate too.  :flex:

Forget "what is a catch.” Let’s play what is a fine?

so what you're saying....is basically....

he's still a rookie

Warner deserved a fine. That was a dirty hit that he seeked out too no less.

Yep. I wouldn’t have a problem if he went after him because he was actually involved in the play, but he wasn’t. Baffling decision to not fine him.

Practically a rookie, and showers regularly (presumably, otherwise his teammates wouldn't be so enamored with his work ethic).

I do, do you? The teams he beat were garbage. On good teams the opposing defensive coaches are screaming, "he can’t read.” Minshew should have started over him, period. He did not earn the starting spot next year at all. When the Eagles show you by drafting or trading for someone, will you come in here and get your big platter of crow?

Hurts sucks as a QB. Wanna make him a RB? Sure. Go for it. Much higher ceiling for him in that role. At BEST he’s the QB for 2022. Guaranteed he isn’t starting in 2023.

Done for the weekend. I’m not topping this.

Ridder looked really good in the senior bowl. If the trade for Watson doesn't materialize, Ridder has the type of skill-set Lowie wants in a QB.

They'll prefer him over someone like Strong/Pickett/Howell. Willis should be long gone early in the draft.

Ferguson the TE from wisconsin will have a long productive career

For some reason later in the game when Howell and Strong were in the game, they were talking about the game that Willis had and how great he looked.  They were talking about his MPH numbers and whatnot.  I figured he put on a show.  Then they showed his stats....11 yards passing and 53 on the ground.  What am I missing?  Is he already getting the Jalen Hurts treatment where his running abilities overshadow poor passing?

I'm not a big fan of Willis, but the reasoning for his rise up the draft boards is his raw talent, not his NFL readiness.

Teams believe they can teach him how to play QB ala Josh Allen, but they can't teach his raw talent to other QB prospects.

Eagles do have a history with Cincinnati Bearcat players.

Oh, I'm not questioning the raw ability there.  I was just confused by the way they were talking him up.  Josh Allen is also 6-5 240.  Willis is a hair over 6-0, 220.  He's smaller than Hurts.  Does he have Russell Wilson potential?

Better arm than Wilson, and supposedly 4.37 speed.

That 4.37 must have been on the same clock that had JJAW in the 4.4 range.  He looks like a 4.6 on the field.

Apparently the 4.37 time was from when he weighed 185 lbs.

Doubt he runs that at his current weight.
