Agreed. I’m a Ridder fan. He needs a year holding a clipboard for sure but honestly I think this whole class does. He’s the guy I have wanted, and today only cemented it. His problem is inconsistency. He has the arm and though he’s not Hurts running, he has plenty of mobility. He also has ideal height…and of course the biggest hands of the class.

It’s a nice TE class. There’s no standout like Hockenson or Pitts but there will be some awesome day 3 guys. Ferguson is definitely on that list with Whyle, Turner, etc.

Certainly didn’t see it during the game, and if someone wants a short, fat, QB that can run and throw a little bit, Howell would be a much better choice.

Don’t disagree but the response dealt with the last game and a combination of Suh, Vea and JPP kind of hampered the pocket for Hurts, who sucks at pocket awareness as it is.  The question was about where was the running, hence my response about his ankle. The Eagles running game was really beat up going into that game.

I've only watched him in the Ole Miss game, was not impressed.

But that is kind of throwing in the towel. Folks complain about Hurts arm strength but it is better than Minshew’s and Minshew cannot run. That said, I have no issue with Minshew getting to battle Hurts to start.  Minshew didn’t exactly light it up in the cowpad PS game.

I didn’t get to watch the game, but anybody tell me how Doubs looked? I liked him the times I watched Carson strong. Saw he only had 2 catches for 18 yards.

People bought the pet rock.  Surely there has to be one head coach and GM dumb enough to think Hurts will develop.  I’m just hopeful it isn’t the Eagles

You’re sure as hell not taking Ridder in the 1st round.

The QB play in the NFL is so bad that more than 1 team will want Hurts. We saw it first hand going against those QBs this season.

Teams can do a lot worse than Hurts, and unlike us they don't have the assets to go big game QB hunting.

This is Lowie we're talking about, the same people that took Hurts in the 2nd.

I think something that gets overlooked is the playing style of the QBs that have been on the team recently. Nick Mullens, Flacco, Minshew, and Sinnett are all primarily pocket passers.

Running QB is a measurement of running.  And Russell Wilson is one of the top QB rushers in NFL history.

Running QB doesn't mean bad passer.

We'll see about his timed speed, but Willis is a smooth runner. Made it look effortless on that play.

 Wilson only went over 100 rushes in a season, twice in his career, 2014 and 2015. In Wilson’s first season he PASSED for 26 touchdowns. 
 In Hurts 2nd season he ran 139 times, in 15 games, and passed for 16 touchdowns. Hurts rushing totals are closer to Lamar’s, except he PASSED for 36 touchdowns in his 2nd season, not combined, but actually passed for 36.  

 So Hurts isn’t the passer Lamar is, and runs more than Russ, this means hopefully he gets closer to the only other running QB he can be compared to, Cam Newton.  Super Bowlzzzzzzz

If we didn’t have three picks, I wouldn’t roll the dice in the first on any of these QB prospects. Personally I just feel Ridder has the highest potential ceiling and is the one I’d personally be most comfortable rolling the dice on. Let him sit for a year behind Minshew. Trade Hurts for what we can get. But what the F do I know? For all I know, some team will take EJ Perry in the 7th and he breaks all of Brady’s records.
