I checked out this new highlight video of Watson. Im not sure theres anything I havent seen in there but I paid attention to a few things.

In the first play of this video, I love the vision of Watson on this sweep. He could have tried going all the way outside, but that CB looked like he was going to beat the block. Watson saw it. But then, he could have made the cut outside between #24, and #2. But, that guy got blocked in to that hole, and probably would have made the play. He cuts it up off tackle and outruns everyone. He needed all of his speed there. But it was the only place where that was even possible to be a huge gain. He didnt just rely on his speed to go all the way around the edge. He chose the right hole. I bet Reagor takes that for a loss, or no gain and doesnt choose that correct hole.

I also find it hard to believe there were so many people faster than him at the senior bowl, and by 2mph. Thats a lot. I bet he never fully turned it on. Topped out in the 20mph range. I cant believe hes not 21, or 22 like the fastest guys. I think we have seen Agholor hit 21. This guy is at least as fast as Agholor.

He also is a hands catcher on the deep balls. A lot of times guys basket catch those. He brings his hands up. Thats good to see.

Seems to be a body catcher on hook/curl routes though.

At 3:50, LB #49 for South Dakota, who Im thinking must be Brock Mogensen can really move. He ended up with a bad angle after he forced Watson to take it farther outside, and did need Watson to slow down a bit dodging traffic, but it was impressive for him to get out there and make the play.

The Texans picking Lovie is simple...no one else wants the job.

I'm having trouble deciding which job is less attractive...Texans or Saints?

Which Twitter feed tells you that Howie is an elite GM?  I wanna know, so I can block them.

easier to write off being wrong if you can say no one could have predicted this. So you just want to ignore those who did. I see your technique.

Texans.

The Saints have a good roster + play in a tough division. If the Saints draft a good rookie QB, they can compete in both the short-term and long-term. Plus their FO is good.

Texans. Both teams stink but one doesn't have a GM yelling in your headset during games and a weirdo like Easterby

That isn't true

They're clearly getting pressure from somewhere (probably the league office) strongly discouraging a McCown hire.

The Texans are so damn stupid it blows my mind. Flores tells everyone he's getting sham Rooney Rule interviews, then the org leaks the final 3 candidates are Gannon, McCown, and Flores. When Gannon and McCown are removed, they don't hire Flores.

It's like they're trying to make this worse on purpose. Impossibly moronic.

Gannon just turned them down.

Yes, but the Saints are like a billion over the salary cap and have no QB...and now possibly no Kamara.

not exactly. He just asked them to hurry up. He didnt say he didnt want it.

Can't hire Flores; his actions have clearly demonstrated he lacks integrity, discretion and any other leadership abilities.

It was a joke because of the dumb pillar comment he made about Afan.  And why do you care anyway?  Did it have anything to do with you?  Are you his defense team or big brother?

And again....I don't care how long some of those guys have been posting in the Blog.  Most of them are out of touch trolls that take themselves too seriously like they are going to get scooped up by the Eagles to write fluff pieces for them.

Because I consider some of the folks here my "internet friends" you are included in that btw. As well as some others that post here. That said I'll voice my opinion when I think any of you are wrong and anytime I want to. And I highly doubt any of them think they are going to be "scooped up" but some have been "scooped up" over the years.

Yes, did McCown?

Any word on the criminal investigation on him?

This is not the bar.

I took away the party where he implied I might get scooped up.

Grand jury still hasn't concluded its investigation.  Watson has to hope they don't bring any felony charges (he'll likely just get an indecent assault, a misdemeanor).  Then after that happens he needs to settle his 22 lawsuits (only 18 agreed at the trade deadline, which is why MIA didn't trade for him).  If those two items are done then the NFL will rule on a suspension (likely 8 games IMO).  Then, and only then, will teams be willing to make a trade for Watson -- all depending on who is now on his list of teams he'll waive his no-trade clause for.

All of that has to happen before the draft, which is 11 weeks away and counting.

Sure whatever you say. The old washed-up retread, that has a massive losing record, that's the bar.

The Texans' finalists are a HC who wouldn't get a HC anywhere (Lovie Smith) or a coach who wouldn't get even an OC anywhere (McCown). It's the worst job in the NFL.

May be the worst, but they are only hiring Smith for 1 reason and it's not because there is no interest from anyone else.

2 new articles on some later round QBs, Zappe who every one has heard of by now, and lesser known EJ Perry.

Kind of sad that EJ Perry who has barely just earned a combine invite looks exactly like Hurts playing QB.

Perry was fun to watch in the Shrine Bowl but I get the Hurts comp.

I agree. May as well have just kept Culley in place.

Yup, I can't imagine any top level candidates would be interested in that job.

Ownership is a wreck, the QB situation is a wreck, they should have just kept culley.

I trust Lovie Smith to be a steady, competent head coach. He's not a McVay tree guy you're hoping is gonna revolutionize the NFL, but he's a perfectly fine hire fully capable of leading a good NFL team if provided talent (which he doesn't have right now).

But their process was horrible. One PR blunder after another.
