I think TE is an overrated need.  Especially one that high.

If Dallas Goedert gets injured, are you comfortable with Jack Stoll being your starting TE?  TE isn't a top need but it's a need.

Yeah aren't they like 70 mil over the cap ???

They're going to have to let some good talent walk

Hopefully S Marcus Williams is one that they can't hold on to as I'd like to see the Eagles take a run at him in FA.  Sign him, draft another S and a CB within the first 3 rounds and that would really improve our secondary.

Speaking of the Saints...have you guys checked this movie out yet...

Mills definitely has more potential with his arm than either of our 2.

Mills is an interesting case study in that he was drafted #67 with the first pick the Texans had in that draft.  He wasn't slotted to be the starter; they brought in Tyrod Taylor, whom Culley had coached before.  Mills came in for a bit when Taylor got injured early in the season, looked raw, then replaced Taylor after Week 13 due to ineffectiveness and kept the starting job the last 5 weeks.  He played well enough the Texans now have Mills slated to be their starter for 2022.

If the Eagles at pick #51 have Strong or Howell, or Ridder (who I know you believe will be gone before then) on the board I wonder if they consider drafting one of them.  My hope is that Hurts in Year 3 (Yes, Year THREE in 2022) gets less rope from the organization for lethargic play -- he was a 55% passer for a 7-game stretch in 2021.

It's nothing serious....comedy/family type of movie.

Grand jury still hasn't concluded its investigation.  Watson has to hope they don't bring any felony charges (he'll likely just get an indecent assault, a misdemeanor).  Then after that happens he needs to settle his 22 lawsuits (only 18 agreed at the trade deadline, which is why MIA didn't trade for him).  If those two items are done then the NFL will rule on a suspension (likely 8 games IMO).  Then, and only then, will teams be willing to make a trade for Watson -- all depending on who is now on his list of teams he'll waive his no-trade clause for.

All of that has to happen before the draft, which is 11 weeks away and counting.

Add to that, if a conduct suspension from the NFL, his guarantees are likely voided.  Given how he tried to strong arm the Texans on their hiring of the GM and HC, one wonders how he will react to his guarantees potentially being strip.  Can expect some negotiation regarding those that to waive his NTC, he wants his guarantees and decision making role.  So much up in the air with him.  Don’t see the Eagles as a likely landing place.

Field stretcher in the seam.  No doubt.  Don't expect him to block.....anyone.

That's what I was thinking.  Thanks.

I trust Lovie Smith to be a steady, competent head coach. He's not a McVay tree guy you're hoping is gonna revolutionize the NFL, but he's a perfectly fine hire fully capable of leading a good NFL team if provided talent (which he doesn't have right now).

But their process was horrible. One PR blunder after another.

The knock on Smith was his offense.  Suspect Pep Hamilton as OC with Smith controlling the defense could be a real good mix, until Hamilton moves on as a HC.

Looks horrendous.  Kevin James is a moron and terrible actor.  I hate Payton.....and he looks nothing like him.  This looks almost as bad as that Kurt Warner movie looks.

I thought it was ok, it had its moments....basically a comedy/family movie.

Seems there are a lot of one read take off running qbs in college.

I think college is doing these qbs a disservice as its not preparing them for NFL offenses, Unless that NFL team is willing to install a similar 1 read college offense, which seems they are👎

It isn’t going to get better in the transfer portal era.

I think the eagles have two project qbs on the roster

Minshew still has room for development, he's ahead of hurts as a passer but I guess the coaches feel hurts running ability gives them more of a chance to winning than does Minshew passing.

Personally I think hurts has about reached his ceiling as a passer, not sure how much better he can get.

Where as I think Minshew has shown more ability as a passer and room for improvement there

Having said that I think Davis mills shows more potential as a passer than both.

I'd have no problem giving Minshew a shot. I just don't see it happening unless Hurts takes a big step back. In either case I think we would be looking for a long term upgrade.

I'm happy for Doug Pederson.  He seems to be getting a good reception from the team in Jacksonville.

Agree on everything except James being a moron.

Yup, eagles need a safety and he'd be a good one.

I saw the preview and thought wow Taylor Lautner has gotten fat.

Have no desire to watch it though.

Yeah, if they want to never win crap.

That's not true.  He had Bears as a fairly consistent playoff contender.   Took over a bad Bucs team and I always felt they bailed on him too soon when it seemed like was starting to turn them around.

People upset that they didn't hire Gannon but I do not see anything with him to make me think he will be a good HC.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but interesting read...

Funny, I was recently arguing in here with somebody about how Deflategate was a bunch of nonsense. But too many people just want to jump at Brady and call him a cheater, without using any logic.

The Kurt Warner movie looks absolutely horrible.  The football scenes look so low budget and bad.

I do like King of Queens but Kevin James has one role and one role only.

I wonder if they will investigate why my tire pressure light comes on when we have a big drop in temperature?

I know it was commonly talked about how this was normal for PSI to change depending on temperature, but why would the league push this narrative to put their best player in a bad position? Brady destroying his phone and refusing to turn it over to NFL investigators isn't a good look, but if the NFL was acting in bad faith I'd probably do the same.

It was actually pretty good, but it's more of a drama with football scenes thrown in.

I'm happy for Doug as well and will pay far more attention to Jags games. Already told my cousin that his 2nd ticket is mine for that game next season.
