I know there are a lot of Penn St fans here, any views on this Ebiketie kid?

He is rising up the draft boards and some are talking about him being a top 20 pick at DE.

Not a Penn St fan, but I like him.

Wouldn't draft him top 20.

You can't blame him though.  It's someone else's fault.

How so?   I don’t know a lot who have been clamoring for him.

I actually read Breer's mailbag, here's the snippet about Wilson:

If I had to guess, I’d say he’ll eventually get moved. And I’d have said the destination was going to be the Saints a month ago. Now that Sean Payton’s gone, let’s put him in the NFC East … to the Eagles. In a way, it’d be a sort of redemptive move for Howie Roseman, who was part of a front office that planned to take Wilson in the third round in 2012, only to have Seattle scoop him up earlier in the round.

So really, he's speculating just like anybody here in the Blog has been. What a non-story.

One of my bosses loved Vegas.  We had a few week long leadership meetings there for the department. Was work for those of us that reported to him.  But the first day we would host an open bar with a buffet for the managers and supervisors. Good food and the wine choice at the bar was always good (I had something to do with that),  The second day we would host some customers and then each of us would take a group of them out for a fancy meal and more good wine.  But other than that, it seemed kind of slimy to me and the smoking was over powering.

My total gambling was seventy-five cents. A quarter for each of my kids and one for the wife in the one arm bandits.  I have played plenty of poker through the years with friends but playing with strangers has no appeal and I would rather play pinball than slots.  Black Jack is a suckers game and the cake walk at the carnival is a better gamble than roulette.

I don’t see the appeal.  Now the desert is pretty and I enjoyed touring Hoover Dam.  I had to go there on other business trips but stayed away from the strip.  It is friggin hot out there in mid summer.

Some people get a huge dopamine hit gambling. I am one of them. Beating the house if fun but beating other poker players is the best

Yeah.  But the troll said a lot of us would be happy.  Why?  I still don’t know a lot of posters who want Wilson.  I know I don’t.

For what he'll cost, I don't want him either.

I went once as well. Limited myself to 80 bucks for gambling. I stopped before I used the 80 bucks. Something about giving them money and getting nothing in return felt weird. I did enjoy going to the other casinos/hotels and looking around. If I remember right there's one called "The Venitian" maybe that had a little river flowing throw it and people on gondolas riding around. I thought that was kinda cool, other than that you can keep vegas.

So why even go?

Didn’t even spend 80$ and tour hover dam ?

Thats like riding the monorail to Disney magic kingdom and going home 🤣

I’m in a flag football league that starts tonight, haven’t been able to play for 3 years now (stupid COVID). So excited, and because it’s co-Ed there’s usually a good amount of hot chicks running around.

Uh those might not be chicks.😁

Chatter around the NFL is linking the Panthers to Pickett at #6:

That would mean another likely trade suitor for Watson is out, further driving down the price. Howie needs to get this trade done.

Useless to even consider a move for Watson at this point.  The grand jury doesn’t care if Watson ever plays football again.  His 22 accusers suing him don’t care if he ever plays football again.  He has to get those small details cleared up before any team will consider adding him.

Until those matters are cleared up and Watson comes up with a list of teams that includes the Eagles, it’s a dead issue.

He's in NYC not that I'm tracking the whereabouts of a man in tighty whities or know who he is like you appear to know.

There is one at the old strip in Vegas. He was walking around in a jock strap. Blech

I only traveled to Las Vegas once.  It was for 6 days and I golfed every day; played the courses in Mesquite on a couple of days.  Went back to the hotel and relaxed at the end of the day.  The only shows playing as I recall were Gladys Knight, Blue Man Group, Celine Dion, Cirque de Soleil .... all too expensive for my taste.

Only ever saw the strip from the highway; that was as close as I wanted to get.

Mesquite is the courses up on the Reservation up north of town right?  Been a while...

I loved it when I lived there, but I almost never went to the strip.  Everything being 24 hours made the town amazing and there was so much to do in the areas surrounding it.  I pretty much lived on the water at Lake Mead on my days off.

More Russ to the Eagles chat.

There will be lots of happy fans here.

Count me out. By the time the rest of the team is good enough to contend, he’s like 36. Plus he’s going to cost multiple R1’s and a big cap hit. 3-4 years ago? Absolutely. But at his age and with the current roster, no thank you.

When I lived in Utah we used to go to Vegas maybe 2 times a year.

Haven't been for a while but last time I went we had my son with us who was about 4 at the time and two show " girls" pink feathers, pink bikinis pink boots saw and asked if they could get a pic with him, I'm 75% sure  both were dudes In drag🤷‍♂️ makes for a good story when he gets older, grandma wasn't pleased when she saw it.

Love Vegas, then again neither my wife and I gamble or drink, we go for shows, food, and shopping and usually go to valley of fire to hike which isnt too far out of Vegas.

There is a lot of amazing hiking out there!  Have you been up in the Mt Charleston area?

The best part of the trip for me was seeing Hoover Dam. My boss was like yours, he loved to gamble.  I'm sure his disposable income was way higher than mine though

That's just people who want to be offended.  His explanation was valid, although he's waaaay off in describing Hitler as a military genius.  Hitler had really good generals in the German army but he either had them killed if they dissented from his doctrine or undermined most of them.

To this day I believe that Hitler was demon possessed. Him and Charlie Manson. If anyone ever was it's those 2.

Free agent OT Greg Robinson was arrested Monday in Thibodaux, La. on nine felony drug charges.

Robinson, 29, was pulled over for a traffic violation around midnight, and a police dog alerted at the presence of narcotics. Officers discovered 38.89 pounds of marijuana, 3.16 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, 2.22 pounds of cocaine, 4 grams of crack cocaine, 227 doses of hydrocodone, 48 doses of oxycodone and 18 doses of alprazolam along with "a large assortment of drug trafficking and packaging equipment/paraphernalia, firearm magazines and ammunition and a small amount of U.S. currency.” It's Robinson's second drug-related arrest in the last two years after he fell out of the league following the 2019 season. Robinson remained in jail Wednesday on $315,000 bond. The former No. 2 overall pick of the Rams is one of the biggest draft busts in recent memory.

Hell he was just headed to a party.  But seriously what a moron

I'm not a penn state fan but he looks pretty good. Kinda reminds me a little bit of Derrick Burgess who I was a huge fan of.

Hey now... you don't know what it's like to earn $29M in the NFL.

As long as we could keep two of our 1st rounders, hell yeah give me Russ.

Ill take relevancy and competent QB play over wasting another year "trying to figure out" if Hurts is the guy.

Wise words.

Vegas is amusing for a day or two but I think it's gotta get old living there.  I was there for a conference for a week and was absolutely tired of being in that city by the end.  Seems like everybody's trying to rip you off for some reason or another.

It seems that way because they are. 😉

Jim Jones I would for sure add to that list.

Interesting factoid -- I read that the first voice transmission/signal powerful enough to leave Earth and be heard in space was Adolph Hitler's ..... so, if any aliens were curious enough to explore our planet -- and we wanted to make a good impression by saying 'hello' -- you'd have to think those aliens would have looked at each other and said "F this place!" and changed course.
