Your post has no bearing on this situation.  Trading Mailata puts the Eagles 2.5 million over the cap.

There is no restructure they can do with Wilson that gives the Eagles that 2.5 million back, it will still be money in addition, so it would push the Eagles further over the cap.

There is absolutely nothing viable about it.

If you think there is, please explain how we get back under the cap after Mailata's trade puts us 2.5 million over the cap, and then adding Wilsons current base salary puts us 21.5 million over the cap.

No idea why there is this continued obsession with Dillard that people here want to trade Mailata.

Eagles after trading Mailata and acquiring Wilson.

21.5 million over the cap.

Restructure Russell Wilson, changing cap his cap hit for 2022 to 5 million for example.

The Eagles would still be 7.5 million over the cap.

I would take Hurts and Mailata without question.  Mailata could easily become the best offensive tackle in the league and he hasn't even hit his prime yet.  They will have countless opportunities over the course of Mailata's career to upgrade at QB if they need to.

Where did you read that because all reports have been that he will be opting into next season.  

There's not "people" wanting to trade Mailata. There's one specific person, who has been rebuked repeatedly. There's no chance of Mailata being traded for Wilson. Dumb discussion. If you wanted to discuss giving up Dillard and picks for Wilson, that's at least in the realm of possibilities, though slim. But Mailata is the starter here for the foreseeable future, and only one person is thinking otherwise.

Why would one trade Jordan Mailata anyway???

LT is the second most important position In football and is a premium position league wide.

If I'm trading a young up and coming LT on a pretty friendly contract and taking a cap hit to do it I better get more than a disgruntled declining old qb with a busted finger.

And I better be damn sure his replacement is just as good or better, which Dillard isn't so...

Tell me how we get out of that hole then if it is so easy.   Need to clear 7.5 million to get back to even, then need an additional 6 million to sign draft picks, and money for any potential free agents.

I mean, why would you have Mailata be the starter for the Eagles with a cap hit of 4.3 million when you could have him be Seattle's starter for a cap hit of 29.4 million.

How can we restructure Wilson’s salary and make back the 21.5 million? The most a Wilson restructure can help on the cap is 11.4 Million. It’s not viable at all.

Nothing like seeing jsb go full barcarty today on a ridiculously bad trade idea and compounding it with an even more ridiculous trying to make it work which leaves you in an even worse cap situation and lesser player in dillard on the field. Don’t worry seattle is just going to do hurts and mailata straight up for Wilson like they wouldn’t ask for more than that for Him

ND Badlands or SD Badlands?  (Been to both but I favor the SD Badlands, and not because of Wall Drug.). My dad spent his summers in college and graduate school (except his last when he interned in Bakersfield, CA) surveying, first for the state and then for the USGS in the Badlands.  I have a petrified turtle in my house from those days.  He was a paleo geologist.  The fossils in the SD Badlands are awesome.   Teddy Roosevelt National Park in ND is awesome.  

Northern lights are on my bucket list too.  Daughter and I spent a week in Iceland in December trying to see them to no avail.  My daughter snorkeled the divide between the America plate and European plate in a lake there. (I was unqualified due to my age and weight.). But I can say that I have driven from America to Europe because I drove the car on our tour of Iceland.  Friendliest foreign country I have been to, so far.

I have driven the western and middle provinces in Canada but have the eastern ones (east of Quebec) provinces to go.  I plan on going up there to try to see the northern lights.  It is kind of hit or miss trying to see them.

When I am in Alaska, alas, it will be the time of the midnight sun.
