So if the Eagles do trade for Wilson I think it’d be something like…

2022 1st, 2022 2nd, (Minshew or Hurts, and/or Dillard), and 2023 conditional 1st/2nd.

Yeah you spend your free time on these boards. Join the club

Jokes on you. I was on an important business call, negotiating a seven-figure deal with a prestigious, global-wide company while posting on these boards.

Free time? Please, I don’t even know what that is.

Essentially you are saying the team is better with Mailata than it is with Dillard and three draft picks (two firsts and a second.)

It would be nauseating if the Eagles traded for Watson.

Not from a football perspective it wouldn't be.

Wilson has struggled without a viable LT. Without Okung/Brown, he's had bad splits.

Why get rid of one of the few, young premium players on the roster?

If we're trading for Wilson, include Hurts/Dillard + whatever picks we need.

Karfalitis is the next Derek Barnett

What do people on here have against Karlaftis?  I know he has a little shorter arms but I've heard he's not athletic and other stuff on here as well.  This is article from August but from everything I've read he should test out very similar to Myles Garrett

George Karlaftis' development at

has been pretty amazing. He's up to 272 lbs, yet his body fat has dropped from 25% to 15%. He power cleans 380, broad jumps 10-1 & has a 37-inch vert, but that's just the beginning of why he's such a Freak:

That might be the compensation if 4-6 teams are in the bidding (on his waive list for no-trade; the player controls the market with that clause)

Last year at this time he reportedly gave only Saints, Cowboys, Raiders, and Bears.  Since then DAL has given Dak $40M per year, Bears spent two 1sts to draft Fields, Saints don't have a pot to pee in money-wise, and Vegas might keep Carr now that Gruden is gone.

If Wilson demands a trade (not a given) I doubt he gives SEA more than 2-3 teams to negotiate with.

What? How would you know they want Mailata? And if Mailata reaches his potential… yes they might be. Especially if Wilson would be Wilson.

Just let it go, dog

ya....no.  Watching him play is lackluster.  He's solid, nothing else.  100% of people here would be on board with trading all 3 picks to get Hutch and he's white.  So...

I agree with your point, but I wouldn't want the Eagles to trade up for Hutchinson; there are other really good DE slotted where the Eagles will be picking.  I'd rather spend one pick on Johnson or Ojabo and still have picks left to draft a CB, S, maybe a LB .... dare I say QB?  Probably not, I think Pickett goes top 10 (or 11 to WAS at latest)

Strong would be a Round 2 option for me if his medicals check out; Ridder would be a Round 3 option at QB.

This smells of Mike Mamula

Mamula played in 77 games and had 31.5 sacks, 156 solo tackles, and 8 forced fumbles.

He is hardly the slug that Eagles' folklore would suggest.

There are some real doozies that post here sometimes.

I've followed the Eagles for a while and dipped in and out of these boards but I swear to God, every time the Eagles get a good player, someone wants to trade him.

I mean, why ?

He was a top 10 pick we traded up for (warren Sapp and Brooks). who never made the pro bowl and only last 5 years

If I told you I had a crystal ball and Karlaftis will never make a pro bowl and will only last 5 years you'd pass on him at 20. Let alone 7

We call them Hoagie Mouths. They do it with the Flyers and Phillies too.

Mamula was better than is Barnett and was much, much better than was Smith.

Not trolling. If the team trades for Wilson (as has been suggested by some), then what does a deal look like that gets us Wilson plus retains enough resources that allows us to get better in other areas?

I don't see it by trading draft picks. If we want to make a deal, it has to be for something that the Seahawks want as much as we want Wilson. And Mailata is the only player that makes sense to me.

If you have a better idea, let me know. I am all ears.

Well, you would be the only one that makes sense to.   Mailata's a LT and 24 years old.   He's actually more valuable at this point than Wilson.  Not to mention, trading him would cost the Eagles an extra $24M in dead money.

My idea is to not trade for Wilson, especially if it costs anywhere near what is being floated.  The Eagles are in a bad spot regarding the QB position.  There is no perfect solution.

Hutch is pretty much a Jared Allen clone.  He's anything but overhyped.

He's much better than Reagor and Danny Watkins too. Unsure what that point is?

End of the day, I dont want a work out warrior who only lasts 5 years.

Caucasian AF

He had to retire because of injuries, not because of poor play.

Did I say over hyped? I don't believe so.

Fine he's anything but 'media hyped'

Mamula was a plus starter...like you said, injuries forced him to retire.  Had he had a BG length or even close it career people would probably change their tunes.  We drafted him over Sapp...just like we drafted BG over Earl Thomas.  Took people far too long to get over it.
