Somebody will still write him a fat check when he's ready to return -- maybe before.  At least he earned a Super Bowl ring and contributed.

And most importantly...backed up his father's smack talk.

I love them both. I think Pierce across from Smith with Quez moving around would be a nice trio.

I also would like to grab Pierce in the 3rd, but could be some other team scoops him up in the 2nd.  Agree that he would make a nice trio of WRs that you could move them around to create mismatches.  Pierce could be the X or the big slot.  You could have Watkins as a burner in the slot.  Even Smith could lineup in the slot with the other 2 on the outside if you're looking to create a specific mismatch.  I still think they need to bring in a vet WR, someone savvy with good hands who could help to coach up the young guys.  They won't do it, but they should get rid of JJAW, Ward, and Reagor (trade him for tackling dummy, FFS).  Bring in a vet FA WR, draft another and for the 5th spot have a TC/PS battle and winner gets the job.

Feel for him. Cause i still think he’s a top 15-20 WR but you can’t put him where he once was cause since 2017 he’s only played 16 games once. He’s dealt with injuries a lot since 2017. Plus his production hasn’t been nearly what it was at the start of his career on baker and some on him being healthy.

There's a Reagor one in there.

Dillard may not be as good as Mailata but that puts him in with the 27 other LTs in the league who aren't, and he's better than most of those. As for whether he is limited to LT, we don''t know that. It has been reported by several people that he's been trained at RT as well. But, forgetting that, what is a guy who can play LT at a high level in the league worth? No less than a conditional 3rd that converts to 2nd with certain performance targets. Certainly no less than that.

I'm skeptical on him being able to play RT since the opportunity was there earlier in the season and the coaching staff thought it would be better to slide Mailata to RT and have Dillard at LT. If they had confidence in him they would have just changed one position instead of two. Those 4 or 5 games he started, he played fairly well though. Which is why I think the Eagles have more value in keeping rather than trading him, unless the stars align and they can get that 3rd or more compensation. I just think they will have a tough time getting that before the draft.

I think a bringing in a veteran and drafting another will happen. I think Ward and JJAW go. Reagor stays, as he's uncuttable yet and has 0 trade value. Post-combine I think Pierce vaults himself into the 2nd round discussion. He's incredibly athletic...former track, volleyball, basketball player on top of football and both of his parents were college athletes at Northwestern. I have zero problem taking him in R2. He's my favorite offensive player in the draft.

Honestly, I just want a cool white dude to play WR for us like Cooper Kupp. Wonder what Pierce's beard game is?

Well the lack of speed in the LB corp and secondary and the inability of the DL to get the pressure needed factored heavily into that.  The defense run by both teams had that same defensive approach that Gannon was using against the big play.  He just lacked the horses or experience.

We can point to the lack of pressure but I recall that the Eagles also among the lowest defenses in time to throw.  This is consistent with what I saw with 80% completion rates.  QBs knew where to go with the throws and didn't have to make second reads.  QBs were able to get the ball out quick because the scheme and coverages weren't difficult to see.  Part of this is due to talent but this wasn't the worst secondary in the League.  I do think part of it was due to Gannon's coaching. I don't think it was his intention for it to be easy.

I hope his knee gets checked out and is fine. Was a report he was having it evaluated when he got back to cincy

Where I differ from you is the bolded- I cant watch another year of Hurts- it will be very detrimental to the development of our young WR's to keep having Hurts as QB1.  I am ok with a stop gap QB, but it has to be a QB who can atleast throw the ball.

I agree.  When I sold my soul to get the Super Bowl win, I expected an eternity of suffering in hell not the kind of torment that I have had to endure with Wentz's downfall and now watching Hurts.

To be fair Aaron Donald makes a lot of O lines look like anybody.

I don't think Bengals get to bowl without chase, he was a difference maker all season.

Maybe Cincy will want to trade up for an OL in the draft, and Philly is in prime real estate to be a trade partner.

There does exist that possibility .... they're in a position to be aggressive.  The value would basically be #31 and #63 in exchange for #19.

I thought it would be mostly embittered Giant and Saints fans but it's every NFL WR roasting him too.

Bringing his mom into it and going racial is too far

Eagles trade down from 16 to 31 for a 2023 1st rounder.

Eagles can trade two 1sts in 2022 and one in 2023 for Wilson/Watson and still have a 1st this year, and a 1st next year.

If Howie plays this right, it won't decimate their assets.

I would love to see a 2022 1st, Hurts, and a 2022 conditional 2nd for Watson. I think his market is shrinking.

I think the only teams they'd have to compete with are Carolina and Tampa, and the Eagles have far more assets than both. Maybe Denver if they can't get Rodgers.

I agree. I think us and Carolina are the main 2.

I think one is playing with fire trading for Watson until his legal issues are resolved.

Too much unknown for me to pull the trigger and too much known for me to make him the face of my franchise.

Of course, having his legal issues settled will be paramount.
