Dave has basically failed with social media for the Eagles. PE.com has Tommy Lawlor on its front page and his last article for them was 2019.

I could be wrong but feels like once Chris McPherson got going with the eagles that Dave slowly got pushed aside.

This is what’s happening with the Jack Ikegwuonu story. Very sad:

In November 2014, Ikegwuonu and his twin brother were arrested in Madison, Wisconsin, for allegedly committing five armed robberies. Police said money from the robberies was primarily used to purchase heroin. In March 2015, Ikegwuonu and his brother pleaded guilty. Ikegwuonu was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison.

Never knew this, also didn't know he was a twin.

Sad stuff.

You have to wonder if the devastating leg injury is when he first started with the opioids. He did have the character "red flags” along with the injury, though.

Why the F, in the 21st century does the UK tolerate a monarchy and nobility?  If you can vote out of the EU, why not that?

It's complicated.  In parts, it's tradition -  no one can remember a time without a monarchy and this version has theoretical power, but isn't used.  The Queen is like having Yoda in your life. and is exceptionally popular overall - I've been within a few feet of her a couple of times (when she visited my town) and she has a presence that others don't.  The anti-monarchists we have exist on the far, far left of the political spectrum and can't sensibly get their case across showing they've thought about it or without shouting at people.

Also, who else will want to visit Skegness and open a community centre or unveil plaques at cricket grounds? I can't see Tony Blair wanting to engage with the public let alone doing something like that.

I think the institution will be circling the drain if Chuck and Camilla are King and Queen for any period of time; not even the most ardent of Royal supporters should have any desire to see that come to fruition.

At least with William and Kate they could pretend to have an air of nobility and regalness.  Harry is royally screwed for letting that dreadful Meghan Markle latch onto him.  She is a dreadful person, in every respect.

For me, one of the reasons the Queen has not abdicated is she knows that Charles is Little Lord Fauntleroy in real life and won't be good for the long term - he is a prat. William and Kate are far more connected to the real world than Charles is and can take Charles modernisation gambit on - not good for Harry and Meghan though.

Idiots!  If you're going to commit crimes as identical twins, you do them separately.  When the police come with an arrest warrant and present DNA evidence, you say "it wasn't me; it was him" and vice versa.  Currently I don't think forensic DNA testing can differentiate between identical twins.

If your twin is not identical you're out of luck.

Everyone knows that defensive players can only be drafted in the top of Round 1.

Maybe change/reword that a little - Everyone knows that Howie can only draft defensive players at the top of Round 1. Or in the late rounds when coaches or scouts pick someone and Howie says "OK, yeah fine whatever".

Can she "just skip a generation" and put William on the throne? I have not a clue how these things work.

Didn't he get in trouble for stealing an XBox or something in college?

During Doug's time here with Schwartz, they drafted far less defensive players than they have historically. So not only were the defensive picks not quality ones, they also used less resources to build the defense. Now its come back to bite them. Sirianni took a defensive heavy approach in his first draft, hopefully they continue that trend for the next.

That's only partly true... they threw draft picks at trades for Darby and Slay as well.

He wouldn't be the first whose path to jail was paved with opioid use.

Sounds good except...they totally mortgaged the future, as did the Bucs. I give them credit, they won it all with this approach but the future is not rosey and, as CE points out, they stayed healthy and had the necessary luck.

Always plays a part.

I can see the tradition part and Liz seems like a real decent person (I am from the US, we don’t have a great attitude towards nobility so I call her Liz - no disrespect meant but she wouldn’t see me bow either).  That said, some of the nobility seem like royal asses.  Like a bad lot of trust fund kids and they do have a voice.   Plus, here in the US anyone can own swans regardless of birth.

No, I was told explicitly here that Howie couldn't draft anyone for defense because they weren't picking in the top 12 or 13.  There were none available.

Is anyone even mildly surprised at this?

Matt Alkire has a good post on his website on DE prospects.  Matt used to post here in the early years of the Blog as NDIrish. Matt has always studied film and has an interesting eye on draft prospects.  You won’t always find yourself agreeing with all of his take but sometimes, you read his stuff and take a second look and find truth in his view. (I encourage folks to follow him on Twitter for his film posts.)  I really like his take on Sanders from Cincinnati, who I have been curious about as an Avery upgrade.

Lots of admiration today for the 'No-look' pass.

What a pity that our guy specialises in the 'No-pass' look
