Garapollo, who sucks, averages over a full yard more per attempt.  Why the heck would we care who has more air yards per completion?  He’s a much better passer than Hurts.

And you would still have to move Hurts....The are redundant.  Add in the king of all place holders in Minshew...and you're just making trades to be dumb.  So yeah...knowing Lowie...It wouldn't surprise me.

Sure it's dumb but it would scratch Howie's dealing itch, at least for a little while so wouldn't be surprised.

The Philadelphia Eagles did significant due diligence on Watson and his legal situation last year with general manager Howie Roseman intensely researching the matter and even sending an investigator to Houston, according to league sources. However, per sources, Watson made it clear he would not waive his no-trade clause for the Eagles, who have moved on and are committed to quarterback Jalen Hurts. Ideally, this situation could be revisited due to the Eagles’ draft capital and, what if, Hurts could be included in a potential swap.

Said it since the start.  No reason Watson would want to come here with Howie as GM.  He made Wentz want out.  Watson who can't stand the Texans FO isn't going to want to go to another team where another young QB forced his way out due to hating the FO.

I'd hope they move one of Hurts or Minshew,  preferably Hurts.  But I don't think it's gonna happen anyway.

What would interest me would be to make it known that either can be had for the right price. Then see which one generates more interest.

The only things Hurts is better than Jimmy G at is rushing and turnovers, although Hurts does put the ball on the ground at a much higher clip, and he's been fortunate not to lose a lot of them.

Recoveries are mostly just luck

Garappolo would make the team a little bit more competitive with a similar cast but with higher risk of injury. Only really worth it if Hurts exits the team and there is comp attached.

Otherwise you have 3 maybe QBs who aren't the answer

If you hand to rank the top 5 more important people in the organization from the owner down to the players who would your top 5 be?

1. Jason Kelce
2. Jeff Stoutland
3. Jordan Mailata
4. DeVonta Smith
5. Lane Johnson

Because this includes all those screens to Deebo/Kittle for positive yardage. There is a reason why Jimmy's 3rd down numbers are bad...and subsequently SF traded for Lance.

Yep. Jimmy G is propped up by a superstar YAC king and playcaller.

He’s not terrible, but he serves almost no purpose to the Eagles. He’s not good enough to be a truck, and we aren’t good enough to pull the trailer.

If Hurts is as bad as most think, and the schedule is a lot harder, we could bottom out into a top pick. Jimmy G wouldn’t elevate us, but he’d probably keep us from bottoming out. That probably does more harm than good.

Hurts is one of the worst passers of any qb in a starting role in the nfl.  Probably THE worst.

I have no interest in Jimmy G, so I don’t disagree with any of this.  I just want to emphasize that I think very few people fully appreciate how horrific of a passer Hurts actually is.

Absolutely. Some people just don't like facts.

I fully understand not like Hurts, but wanting Jimmy is just a misunderstanding of how his production occurs.

Well, these trades are ridiculous.  Trade up to 6 from 19 at the cost of a 3rd, but trade back to 10 from 6 and get a 2nd?  Essentially trading 19 and a 3rd to get 10 and a 2nd?

they went for it I took it ;)

I don’t see the schedule as harder at all.  Division is still trending to be meh

NFC North, AFC South, @ ARI, home to PIT and NO.

It’s another 9-8 or 8-9 season ahead as it stands now

So their original "top secret” investigation didn’t involve Snyder? Just Gruden’s emails?  Something smells fishy.

Remember the great Nick Mullens and his short preseason stint win the Eagles?  Remember how terrible he was yet he had some of the most passing yards through someone's first 16 starts or something like that.  Well yeah because he was playing in that Shanahan offense.  Now obviously Jimmy G is better than Nick Mullens.  But that doesn't mean that Jimmy G is good.  His best value to the 49ers is that he has been competent to an extent while he was healthy.  But he's nothing more than a very fragile game manager with a thirst for making really stupid decisions.  Jimmy G will go for a desperate team and there are a lot of QB desperate teams in the league right now with some recent retirements opening up even more teams needing a QB.

Doesn’t seem too bad but still a long ways away. Plus we benefited playing some garbage QBs this season. May not be the case next year.

There are maybe 20 decent QBs in the NFL (yes, Hurts is one of them).

The other 12 are those garbage QBs.

Now a couple of the 20 may retire, Brady . . . one or two more hit the cliff.

A couple of the garbage QBs may get game, Lawrence, . . .

But unless the Commie and the Giants upgrade, we're guaranteed at least 4 next season.

(No, he’s not)

Is that why we lost one to the giants this year?

Jimmy Garoppolo is obviously a top 9 QB and you idiots just aren't giving him the credit he deserves.

He makes us instant SB contenders for at least the next decade.

He is stuck on a team that wastes his talents.

He is so good of a QB that railings at stadiums don't fall apart when he runs by. They recognize greatness and hold on tight.

Trade all three firsts for him. Now.
