I like that the EMB consensus agrees with Jeremiah.

I’ve never seen so many good prospects in the 3rd round.

If that's the consensus, then you can forget trading back because there'd be no motivation for any other team to trade up.

O/U on the total questions asked about QB?

I see the Chiefs hired Matt Nagy back as QB and senior assistant coach.  He must have asked Doug for too much money.

There will be opportunities-guys will fall that teams love and didn't think they'd have a chance to get.

So we'll continually trade down because there will be more talent in the later rounds and we don't need to take advantage of the high end talent.

If Fox really wants to make a splash they should just say F it and hire Gruden to replace Troy.

I hope he gets back in the booth at some point.

And somehow we'll still miss.

Watching more of Mafe lately. I like his game. I think he'll be more of a run defender (as it is he's average here) early than a big sacks guy, but think he can turn into a solid end.

Wouldn't take him early personally, but if he's around a bit later (3rd) I'd take him.

Makes it harder to find a trade partner.  Why give up value to get a player that's only marginally better than the player you can get staying put.  Now, I do think there's a possibility that a player unexpectedly falls to 15 or 16 that another team wants to trade up for from the bottom of the first.

Apparently Matt Miller was hired by ESPN to be a full time draft expert for them.

Sirianni, Gannon and Lurie will miss.  Howie's pick would have been great.

That’s nuts. Don’t know how people haven’t realized he’s a fraud

Don't forget we just lost two of our top front office guys! Got that one locked and loaded too.

I don’t hate the idea of drafting a WR in 1st rd again, but I’d prefer they didn’t. Just depends on how the board falls.

I would be totally down with Burks as long as some good defensive players weren’t passed on

To draft Burks I think for sure you are passing on good defenders.

Depends on if we’re picking him at 15 or 19

Howie's strength is "moving around the board"

To bad his weakness is picking anywhere on the board.

Don't think it makes a difference, but that's just me.

I don't know if it's a good idea.  Brady has kind of an annoying voice, especially when he gets excited and pumped up.

I know that's the idea to get guys with name recognition but there's no guarantee he or Sean Payton will be any good.

I'm sure there's some sort of audition process. If he can put into words what he was seeing on the field he could be better than Romo. I figure he'll take a year off but maybe he's not the type.

FA will have an impact on the Eagles draft strategy.  If they sign stop-gaps to one-year deals like Steven Nelson and Anthony Harris last year it's a small impact, but if they sign Mike Williams or Chris Godwin to a multi-year deal do they draft a WR in the 1st round?  Not nearly as likely.  Same goes for a Marcus Williams or Quandre Diggs signing -- it would move S down in priority as well.

Either way I think DE and CB are quite likely in the 1st round.

DE is most obvious position they’re going to draft in 1st round, after that I’m unsure. So many different directions they can go, especially with there being uncertainty at QB position. But you’re right, free agency should clear most of that up.

Problem is you need a team to dance with you. If a team feels the difference is that small then why would they give up more to move up? Everyone thinks its simple to just say trade back. A lot harder then one thinks.
