Looks like he just arms the ball, feet and legs aren’t in a lot of his throws.

He’s my SAM in what I take from Gannon’s D. He seems to be wanting a hybrid 3/4 -4/3 like we have seen from Belichek and the Ravens D coordinators.  It may be because it fit Avery, it may be Johnson because played similarly at Tulane but they also moved Ostman to LB.  Sanders looks like a perfect "Elephant” to me and I think that is what Gannon wants at SAM.  And 242 is an ideal weight for that position.  I like Luketa for that role as well.

Ideally they could find a SAM who wouldn't come off the field (someone who could play on ball and off ball).

It's the one argument I think you can make for taking Lloyd in the first round, namely that he solves two problems with one player (mike and sam.)

Here's what The Draft Network said about him.

"My initial assessment pegged him as a two-down linebacker, however, he has had some on-the-ball production which has solidified his ability to remain on the field in sub-package situations. In the passing game he can rush from inside or outside, and while he shows some stiffness in space, he can still get depth in his zone drop, come up, and tackle underneath. He has also proven in 2021 that he can get home in pass-rush situations from various alignments."

The problem with using a player like Sanders in the SAM role is that he can really only rush the passer. A player like Lloyd can rush, drop into zone or play man.

The ITB podcast with Rick Speilman was an interesting 30 mins - some talk about the combine and testing of players.

Yep , big hole to fill . I can’t blame him though , 28 , earned 37 million . I’m pretty sure he suffered a concussion this year  , missed weeks from it

I’m looking forward to seeing how Cole Kelly performs at combine  , huge QB 6 ‘7” 260 lbs. some team will fall in love with his size

Most interesting prospect imo is WR NDSU Christain Watson. Huge target at 6’5 210lbs nice speed. He may get a 4.3 and if he does he will sky rocket up the boards.

My suspicion is that Sanders, Luketa and even Johnson can drop in coverage well enough at SAM as Avery (a MIKE in college).  As a cover linebacker, I love Harris.

I think Chenal will open some eyes at the combo , show how athletic he is  .

The only interesting thing that will come out of the combine is the list of players that the Eagles interviewed.

Testing 123.

Plus Adam Caplan can name drop some new names on ITB...

Ian Rappaport is reporting that Russell Wilson won't be traded unless there is someone better out there for the Seahawks.  Why is very unlikely.

Russia's ruble falls back to 106 per US Dollar, a fall of 27% for the trading day so far.

Dumb ass just took his country back decades , his military is taking significant losses too . It’s a war he can’t win , best case  Putin can find a way to save face  and bring his troops home  , worst case he will be out of a job soon .

That twit Aaron Rodgers said previously he’d let the Packers know by the end of February what his plans are, and for the benefit of their other FA players like Devontae Adams as well.  The Packers GM sounded pretty confident he’d be returning to GB.

Probably good for the Eagles that these QBs are reportedly staying put.  They weren’t coming to Philly regardless, and it makes it more likely that QBs will go off the board early in the draft.

Agree.  Anyone is available for the right price, but this inflates the QB picks in round 1 for teams that are needy.  I hope it means some better players fall for that reason

Seems to me back in the day if a qb wanted a contract extension he'd prove it on the field, not threaten to want to be traded then have his agent send out some superfluous statement.

Makes Murray seem like an entitled baby.

Can he pass a ball?

He's only like 5'8"  so maybe a RB or. DB.

Kyler Murray is in the right.

Carrying a bad franchise on his back.

Murray is saying give me the money and good luck with the rest of the team.  As a non-star player, which 95% of a team is, I'd be pissed as Murray is demanding the Cardinals pay everybody a little less so he can make a lot more.  This after a poor 2nd half of a season and getting steamrolled in the playoffs.

It’s 9:49 AM. And I can say, with certainty, that this will be the dumbest post of the day.

The Cardinals leaked during the Super Bowl that Kyle Murray was a bad leader and immature. Murray replied back, but Kyler is the bad guy here?
