Manziel, Dalton?   You guys are out of your mind.

I dont get the Manziel comp.

Dalton I went with base off height, weight, throwing mechanics, arm strength,  route tree he has success with and his ability to take off when needed in designed runs. I dont see him as a  NFL starter in today's league for long after drafted. I wouldnt want to draft him.

Russia's ruble falls back to 106 per US Dollar, a fall of 27% for the trading day so far.

Dumb ass just took his country back decades , his military is taking significant losses too . It’s a war he can’t win , best case  Putin can find a way to save face  and bring his troops home  , worst case he will be out of a job soon .

Worst case for who? For him maybe. The other 7 billion of us, the sooner the better.

Sorry if posted already, but Thor Nystrom (plugged in CFB guy) just dropped a 3 rd mock.

Has us taking Lloyd/Stingley/Jermaine Johnson in 1st, Kenneth Walker in 2nd,  Dylan Parham (IOL) in 3rd.

I really liked this mock for us. Walker in the 2nd is interesting, I might of preferred Winfrey or Pitre there but I’d be totally ok with Walker in the 2nd.

Not in the first.  I’d be ok with Green this year.  But that’s about it.  Interior lineman in the 1st aren’t something that tweaks my nipples.

I bet Carolina BBQ sauce does though, right?

The WR class has a ton of depth. There's an argument to be made that the guy who ultimately ends up as wr1 from it could be drafted as late as the third round (Pickens, Ross, Shakir, Watson.)

If they don't trade any of the first three picks, doing anything other than drafting three impact players on defense, regardless of position, seems like a bad idea to me.

Add Pierce to that list.  Though he sneak into the 2nd Round.  Still, you are correct, there is good WR depth this draft.  Perhaps we can find our Kupp?

Kyler Murray is in the right.

Carrying a bad franchise on his back.

You obviously haven't watched him play.

I think it's a separate discussion whether to use a first round pick on OL with Stoutland developing the picks, however.

Dickerson in the 2nd, Seumalo in the 3rd, Driscoll in the 5th, Kelce in the 6th, and Mailata in the 7th would make me lean towards "No"

It's worth it to pay Stoutland more than some HCs.  The way he develops OL players and coordinated our run game as well his input is invaluable.  We have the best OL coach in the NFL who does a bit extra on top of it.  I just hope he has an heir apparent to take over for him when he does finally retire.

There are some decent/solid OL prospects in the 4th-5th Rounds where we have 4 picks.

Yeah losing Stoutland is always the one thing that has scared me the most when Chip & Doug got fired. I hope they throw dumb money at him until a well deserved retirement.

I also get the sentiment that you don’t need to use Day 1 picks to have a good OL, but if there’s a tackle worth taking in the 1st within next few years to replace Lane, you do it. I’m not as crazy over taking a 1st round Center, but G/T I am.

Lloyd edge and cb is just about ideal for us

Hard to be upset over. I like the idea of signing Gilmore in FA for one year deal (depending on price), then bringing in Stingley. To learn from Gilmore & Slay would be fantastic for a guy like Stingley that has all the intangibles/physical tools

My hope is that Jason Kelce would take over for Stoutland at some point.  He would make a great O-line coach.

Not keen on Stingley.  He hasn't done much since his Frosh season and his injuries.  Would prefer Booth between the 2 of them.  Cool with Lloyd and Johnson, though something tells me we again neglect a LB (and S) in Round 1.  Just not the MO of this FO for a couple decades now.

The fact is we don't know what our personnel preferences are.  Does Gannon want to play the 4i more or was that because we lacked the DEs to play 4-3 all season?  What are we doing going forward?  So it's not easy to predict our draft because we're not in the locker room and know what the coaches want.  If Gannon wants to go 4i (which JR has said is better vs the run than the pass and it's a passing League now.....) then we can get that hybrid DE/LB in later rounds.  If we need true DEs (and DTs) then we need to draft them earlier.  So many moving parts to this off-season and draft.

Sure, if he doesn't run for Mayor of Philly.

Would help to live in Philadelphia to be eligible for that position.

Recent years have pretty much shown Stout gives zero f's about moving up in the coaching tree...or leaving Philly till his kids are older.

It's interesting the majority of draft sites seem to have London and Garrett Wilson as interchangeable 1 and 2 right now.  I wouldn't rate Wilson any higher than 4 and I wouldn't draft London at all.  There isn't anything I dislike about Wilson but I also don't think he stands out at all.

Hopefully if those rankings hold then WRs will go off the board fast.  Personally, I like Jameson Williams, Burks and Olave better than the top 2.

This is exactly my take too. The hype Wilson is getting is bizarre. Daniel Jeremiah has him as the 6th rated prospect. I don't see it at all

Good, then he stays.

I was sort of jesting.

After his SB speech the Mayor at the time conceded that he would lose an election to Kelce.

I hear ya, but frankly, who would want that job?  Philadelphia is turning into such a mess.

Without unrealistic trades, I'm not sure the draft could go better than this for us, though pretty unrealistic still. Brisker at 51, Mafe in the 3rd, Walker at 19 seem very unlikely.

Watched Spadaro's recent Howie interview. Howie seemed to imply the Eagles aren't drafting a 1st round QB. Talked pretty emphatically about not forcing something that isn't there no matter what position they're aiming to get.

Well, it's not like he hasn't done that before.
