Could even be a surprise in there, like ATL Not sure there's a huge difference in caliber between Garoppolo, Wentz, Winston, Trubisky, etc. anymore. Draft a QB and if you don't feel he'll be ready for Week 1 (none of them would be except possibly Pickett), go ahead and get a veteran QB on the market after the draft.

They brought in Beau Allen, JPP and Vinny Curry to play the backup nose, OLB and 4i spots in free agency, and then spent their first five draft picks the next year on defense, including the fifth overall pick on Devin White to pair with Lavonte David. So if we draft Davis, that's what I would expect the Eagles to do. If you are going to go all in on a defensive scheme change by drafting a player like Davis, don't draft a LB in the third and expect things to work out. To me, the team can't draft Davis without a plan in place to fundamentally change the defense. Hargrave, Cox, Graham, Williams and Jackson give us plenty of depth to pair with Davis inside, but Sweat and Johnson are the only OLBs we have, so you can't draft Davis and then not grab an OLB pretty early, as well as an ILB. I don't know if the Eagles have it in their DNA to spend two early draft picks on LBs (and, realistically, they should spend three as Taylor probably isn't a great fit in a 3-4. Linebackers playing behind a NT have to have speed and great instincts since they need to cover a lot of ground. He can survive false steps in a scheme where he is playing gaps, but I worry what would happen if he had to react to what was happening in front of him.)

Besides so many good players right now there are a lot of guys with potential but lack technique. Day 3 should be a gold mine for Stoutland. A fifth rounder for Stout is as good as a third rounder for any other OL coach. Not that I would mind getting a guy or two earlier. Neal is out of the question, of course, but Green might slide a little, for example.
