I would take any QB at any price. As long as we have a new starter next season.

This is how bad teams stay bad.

Malik Willis is a hurts clone with a stronger arm, so I imagine Howie will draft him twice☹️

Nope.

Malik Willis is so talented, that it's understandable that some team will bet on his traits. Just don't expect him to be good in year 1.

Same height, on tape he's a one read then run QB he has a stronger arm, I doesn't look faster than hurts isn't as physical a runner as hurts but they seem similar to me.

Now I realize a QB can be coached to be more than a one read and take off QB but until he does it consistently that's what I see

Now I read that he impressed coaches on the white board with his knowledge of offense and plays which is nice but hardly impressive as it's one thing to write it on a board and another to actually translate it to the field.

Lots of landmines on the board in Round 1 this year, and 3 Eagles picks to dodge them.

Justin Fields was the only first round prospect I didn't want at all last season (Kwitty Paye to a much lesser extent).  Thankfully the Eagles left him on the board.  This year it's Corral topping the Do Not Want List, followed by Drake London, Malik Willis, and Sam Howell lagging 4th.

Not a good feeling to have 4 on the list with Howie making 3 picks.

And I disagree.

Don't misconstrue what I said, if that's what's throwing you off.  I said I could see why a team would do it, including the Eagles.  He's almost like this year's Trey Lance.  I understood him in Round 1 as well, but not #3.  Though, the classic line for me is if you truly believe in a QB prospect, then there's no such thing as 'too high' for drafting them.  If you are right, he's worth the cost.  If not, you are pretty much screwed anyway.

Yep, ultimately comes down to how much you believe in his mental aptitude and leadership. If you believe in those, then it's weighing who'd you rather have in 2023, Willis with a year of NFL coaching or whichever QB prospect you think is both better and you'd have the assets to acquire.

The second part is the trickiest. If Joe Burrow 2.0 comes out next year, the Eagles almost certainly won't have the assets to get him.

I bet Pickett is taking the below into every interview

In an 8-inch Hand Big?

According to the Guinness World Record, the largest hands in the world were 12.75 inches. However, the average hand size is not that large. The average hand size of a male is 7.6 inches, and in the case of a female, it is 6.8 inches. There are also have some rare people who have 10 to 11 inches hands in the world. Some famous football players like Jim Druckenmiller, Dak Prescott, Cody Kessler, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning have 10 to 11.25 inches hands. So, considering all these things, an 8 inches hand is average, not big. Some head coaches say that if you want to be a good quarterback, you should have at least 10 inches hands which are really rare and at the time big enough.

TEs running well

Jelani ran real well

TE is a sneaky need. A pick in the 3rd makes a lot of sense in a deep TE class.

Come on guys give him a break.

Welcome back Carson. Don’t worry, I’m sure the Lions will pick you up after the Colts release you.

Yeah... except that Howie was seen scouting him at a Pitt game, so we can't be sure what Howie knows or doesn't know.  Howie should have known that JJ was a better WR than Reagor, but didn't.  I will never assume what Howie knows when it comes to the draft.

He stretched his hands out to 8-1/2”. I know.

I’m counting on Tyree Jackson to contribute next season. Is that being too optimistic?

Drills up next , looking forward to seeing Hendershot  and Wydermyer , shame Otten won’t participate

I thought this was satire at first.

Hoping for? No, I like the potential.

Counting on? Yep.

That is shocking. He looked so slow off the ball, taking forever to get moving.

McBride , Wydermyer and Woods with most natural hands imo

Anyone who looks at Malik Willis and sees Jalen Hurts has other issues going on.  Hurts was a low ceiling QB with a moderately high floor.  He's a 'backup QB'.  It's what I thought he'd be when he came out and nothing he's done has proven otherwise, maybe top of the heap backup, but still a backup.  And when I say backup, I don't even mean the type that can really be a bridge because he forces the offense to be so different due to his limitations.  Willis, on the other hand, has super high potential, but also a super low floor.  He's a boom bust type to me.

I've heard this said a bunch of times about him.  I can see it.

You'd really have to be in love with Willis and thinking that he's gonna be more the boom type to make that move.  I don't think I love him enough.  I could certainly see a needy QB team taking him.
