Ok care to share why?

His arm isn't just stronger.   Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma next to Willis at Liberty.

Yes, they both run a lot.  Willis is much 'wigglier' whereas Hurts is a power runner.

Next, look at ball placement.  Willis actually hits his receivers in stride.  Nearly every throw from Hurts requires his receiver to slow down or flat out stop, or even come back to the ball, because he has zero anticipation, even in college.  And he lacks the arm to get it where it needs to be when he's late.  Willis also throws into tight windows.  Hurts avoids any kind of tight window like the plague.

They just aren't similar at all.

Someone will overdraft him.

Yup.  They likely will.  And I hope that whatever team that is actually has a plan (a good one) in place for him to develop, not just come in and play right away.

Purdue WR David Bell

1st Attempt: 4.64

Arkansas WR Treylon Burks

1st attempt: 4.55

bad day for him

Burks could bust completely and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

There goes any chance Burks will be a top 10 pick

Penn State WR Jahan Dotson

1st attempt: 4.41

I still think Burks will be a stud film don’t lie .

SMU WR Danny Gray

1st attempt: 4.33

Drummond ran slower and I would have thought , still love his game

Western Michigan WR Skyy Moore

1st attempt: 4.39

Rutgers WR Bo Melton

1st attempt: 4.39

Michigan State WR Jalen Nailor

1st attempt: 4.47 What a day for him

Fair enough, I was impressed with Willis deep ball accuracy, where as hurts deep ball accuracy/velocity is horrid.

I guess where I see the similarities is that both seem to be one read take off qbs and ti be fair seems most college qbs are one read qbs.

Burks reminds me a lot of AJ Brown. I'd take a flyer on that potential if he's there in the bottom of the 1st round after a trade down.

I mean the Eagles and PAC 12 receivers in the first 2 rounds don't have a good history.  I think it's more about how he uses his body to high point balls.

He was using his body to high point balls against PAC-12 defenders.......competition matters.

Second attempt for Treylon Burks: 4.50

Penn State WR Jahan Dotson's second 40 attempt: 4.47

That is similar.  But that doesn't make them the same but with a stronger arm for Willis, definitely not to me.

I took in a cool $20 from someone who bet me Burks was going to run a faster 40 at the Combine than Chase Claypool.  It was never going to happen.

As far as a prospect goes I'm not that concerned about his straight-line speed; it's his physicality and high-pointing balls that's valuable -- and he isn't pushing children around like Drake London.

And lots of Pac 12 DBs get drafted every year and become good NFL players.

While competition matters it's not the end all and be all in evaluating a player.

Plenty of guys from power conferences who faced top talent in college suck once they get in the NFL where as plenty of guys from schools no one has ever watched that face scrub competition turn out as competent NFL players.

It's not like the pac 12 is a po dunk division III Conference.

I know it's going to be easy to compare him to JJAW.  Big bodied PAC-12 WR, I get it.

He was unstoppable prior to his injury though.  He played in 8 games this year...had 88 catches for nearly 1100 yards and 7 TDs averaging about 13 yards a catch.  That's insane production.

My 1st guy is Jameson Williams.  I think he's a combination of Chase and Smith.  Then I like Olave.  Problem with both of those guys is we already have Smith who's 160 soaking wet.  Williams and Olave are both basically 6' 190 lb guys.  Quez Watkins is 6' 193.

I know size isn't everything but I don't like the thought of having three 6' tall guys ranging from 160-190.  Adding a guy like London to the mix at 6-3 220 (I know JJAW) would really add a different element to the passing game.

One crazy measurement....DeVonta Smith has a wingspan of 78 1/2".  Drake London is 3 inches taller than Smith and his wingspan is 77 3/4".  Just shows how big Smith's catch radius is for a guy his size.

I'm with you on getting a big receiver but not London, I want a big receiver that can also get some separation, London is a bigtime fail when it comes to separation which is why I don't want the guy.

If the Eagles selected a receiver in the first round the only one I wouldn't be mad about is Williams, there's no problem with a bunch of smurfs if they can get open, I can tell you now London won't be geting open and he won't be winning jump balls in the NFL the way he did in the PAC-12.

4.50 for Burks at 225 lbs is good, but not great. He was never a blazer, but at that size he doesn't have to be. Still a 1st rounder.

The point I was trying to make and frankly you made it for me, he'll be facing the best of the best and I don't see his PAC-12 game translating to the NFL, just like I didn't see Whiteside's game translating.
