Dude got himself in shape.

Probably tested out of eagles range at 15, unless they trade up for him, surprised there isn't more hype for him on this board, maybe I missed it a few pages Back but his testing with his size and   his game tape makes him a top 10 pick if not top 5.

Would love to have him in eagles D don't think he slides anywhere near 15.

Other than age, what's the issue? Has the required athleticism, production, # of starts, leadership traits...

I don’t see him as a top 10 player at all. I also don’t think the Eagles would be thrilled to take a linebacker top 20.

No round 1 edge would be really disappointing with our current roster construction.

Hype around Trubisky has to be agent created

Clarke quietly killed things yesterday , another backer to a already quality class

How would you rank the LBs? Who are the best second and third round targets?

Thanks.

He has versatility to play  in any scheme

Chase Lucas

Emerson, Taylor-Britt and Lucas are my zone guys.

Gordon early as a do it all type.

Yeah.  You have to be a great athlete if you are a LB hoping to go on the top 10. He looks it on the field.  But no one is taking a mid-4.6 LB from a soft conference in the top 10.

I'd still be ok with one of our picks. But I don't think it happens. I'd have still had hope if he put up a better time.  But I don't think the Eagles will see this as a can't miss opportunity at this point.

His workout shows him not to be a guy that the Eagles would possibly make an exception for. Needed a 4.3 or maybe 4.4

Emerson can play man  , I’m curious to see him run  , honestly today you need to have ability to play various schemes

When I heard Charles Robinson say that the Texans would consider Llyod at 3, I think it's unlikely he'll fall to us.

Agree with your point about roster construction.

Yep. This is how I’m feeling right now. Get an edge and corner in round 1, because I think the value really lines up well at those spots. The third first round pick is a a wildcard. I really like Brisker, but admit that’s likely too rich for him. Likely round 2 is a sweet spot for safety/LB. Round 3 I’m not sure what looks like value there. Maybe WR?

Day 3 looks stacked at RB/TE/C/WR.

While having THREE 1st Round picks is fantastic, with the way this draft is the real value is having extra 2nd and 3rd Round picks.  I know loads of posters here would love to trade back one of our 1sts and pickup another 2023 1st to have extra ammo to get a QB should we not be able to do anything about that this off-season, but I'd be fine with adding extra 2nd/3rd Rounders this draft and with 3 picks in the 5th we have some ammo to trade up (a few to a handful of picks) to make sure we get our guy.

I am looking over who has extra picks and would want a trade up, especially for a QB, and what the potential (ballpark) trade would be and these are some possible players:

Denver.  Maybe they don't go QB with #9 and simply go BPA, but then look to trade back into the 1st Round (at our #19 just ahead of PGH at #20) to get the QB they want.  They have the Rams 2nd and 3rd Round picks along with their own in those rounds so a potential trade could be we give them #19 and they give us #s 40, 64, and 96.

Detroit.  They have the Rams 1st Round pick for both 2022 and 2023.  Perhaps they take Hutch at #2 and then want to trade up from 32 to 19 to get a QB?  In that scenario they could either swap up 19 for 32 and give us the Rams 2023 1st or if they preferred to keep two 2023 1sts then they could swap up 19 for 32 while also giving us 66, 177, and 180.

Dark horse:  NYJ.  They have 2 picks in each of rounds 1, 2, 4, and 5.  They aren't trading up for a QB, but if there's a DL/OL player they really covet then they have the ammo to do it.  A trade could look like we give them 19 and 204 and they give us 35, 69, 110, and 163.

Those are teams with extra picks and/or the need for a QB.  Of course, any other team could want to jump up for any specific player they really want.  Hell, if either of Gardner or (pipe dream) Hamilton falls to the NYJ at 10 or MIN at 12 I could see Howie making a little trade up in those scenarios so you never know.  Howie does like to move around the board.

If Woolen does as I think today , he will leave combine top 30 pick

Sure, they aren’t a liability in man -  but have good feel for zone already … and I figure Gannon isn’t much for heavy blitz/cover-1. That said, you couple a zone type with a race horse CB and shade the safety in man calls.

Emerson is likely a 4.5 guy, if he runs a 4.4 he won’t make it to 51.

might be. But not sure thats good for him. I doubt he is ready to start in the NFL in year 1.

Wow Woolen and he will fly on his 40

Woolen and Ojabo.  Two players with high ceilings due to having loads of raw athletic talent.  Question is can they fulfill their potential?  If they can then they have the ability be very special players.  Would probably take them until their 2nd/3rd seasons to really start to be consistent at a high productive level, but if they did then that would be worth the investment.

Woolen probably goes no later than the 3rd, maybe even the 2nd.

Agreed

and i think a strong argument can be made for corner as well.

As much a i like Llyod there will be LBs in rd 2 as well

Yup

two down lb

Muma in the 2nd or Beavers in the 3rd would be fine with me.

FA - S Williams or Reid
1a DT Wyatt
1b DE Johnson
1c Best available CB
2 LB Muma

IMO this would get some momentum going on D.

Fed up of the passive crap that we've put up with from Schwartz and Gannon in recent years.

We're not coming out of the first round with Hamilton, Walker or Gardner and that bums me out. Hate when I covet guys who are gonna go too early.

Yeah... that's Howie's problem too, apparently.

No way they go defense with the first 4 picks... this is Howie we are talking about.

I don’t really agree with Lloyd…

Yeah, I agree there. I think Wyatt & Stingley wouldn't be a bad combo. Trade back with 19.
