Possibly... or you play two AFC matchups with the same seeding.   NFCE vs. AFCS & AFCE.  following year, AFCE & AFCW... then AFCW & AFCN, then AFCN & AFCS, then back to AFCS & AFCE again.

I never said they did.  but if they watched tape of him... and then Jefferson... it was night and day.    They screwed up by overemphasizing the least important trait of the WR position.

I think too many team are looking for the McVay or even Kyle Shanhan.  If you look at the last 10 Super Bowl winning coaches, the youngest was 49 (Doug), 5 were older than 60 and 5 had prior experience as an NFL head coach.  Having significant experience helps.

This is part of why we cannot have Hurts as our QB next year, it has to be at least someone who can and will pass the ball. 

You've seen Devonta Smith visibly upset at least a few times this season with Hurts.  Kinda uncharacteristic for him.

But Shula, Shanahan, Belichick, Carroll, Reid, and Arians all won after their first gig. 

Get me a WR that knows how to run routes over one that's very fast. While Reagor does seem to be fast, he has slow acceleration and needs a long runway to get going.

I have been thinking that a Renfroe / Beasley type would be beneficial to the team if they had a QB that could really pass the ball.

Not sure if it would work for the current guy.

He barely made the DB back pedal.  The top of the route just looked slow.  I am sure they were sitting on the route and a better throw would help with a completion but Reagor didn't look good at all.

I have been clamoring for a fiery slot WR for years. Preferably caucasian. Amendola, Welker, Renfrow, Beasley...etc.

Yep. It’s his job to get the DB to move or commit. He failed.

Jalen Reagor has speed when he gets in the open field and can accelerate without changing direction.  When he has to change direction, it looks like he has concrete blocks instead of cleats on his feet.

It is possible that BOTH the WR ran a bad route AND the QB made a bad throw.

My one comment on retreads. The next SB winning HC to Win a SB as HC on a second team, will be the first to accomplish that. So I would steer clear of SB winning head Coaches. 

 Because it is extremely hard to do, it takes the right team, and most importantly, a Franchise QB capable of winning a SB.

Yup.  Also possible for the throw to be accurate but have flies landing on it.

Its funny because the birds used to have slow possession type receivers and no speed. Now they have all speed and no possession type of guys. They really need to fill that WR #2 spot with a possession guy, but I would prefer a bigger bodied one over a quick twitch receiver .

All the questions about his weight coming into the draft, after having one of the best seasons ever for a WR at Alabama.  He’s not a pushover by any stretch, he’s just thin.

Yup - I didn't like the possibility of Josh McDaniels but I did like that he had prior experience. Most of their candidates had no prior head coaching experience.

Even with the same targets, he was not going to put up the numbers Chase did due to the limitations of the QB.

Chase had 24 more targets than Devonta, those 24 additional targets equated to 17 more receptions, 539 more yards and 10 more TD's.

Reagor said he runs faster when he is lighter, in the article I posted earlier it was around 197. That's what he's currently listed as on the Eagles site, but he looked  bigger this year.

I think the biggest question with Jefferson coming out was whether he could be effective in the outside since the vast majority of his college career was spent in the slot with other really good WRs in the outside at LSU.

I think the eagles past experience with agholor where he was drafted to be the guy then only became efficient once moved to the slot gave caution to the eagles drafting Jefferson as they didn't want to repeat that mistake.

Reagor played mainly in the outside as a z receiver and was fast and explosive and the eagles wanted more speed at z where they had tried Wallace then desean without success.

So I think going into the draft that was the thinking behind taking reagor.

If the rest of the league thought Jefferson was going to be as good as he has been he wouldn't have been the 5th??? WR taken.

Personally I liked tee Higgins, and I knew he would probably go 2nd round, I was in favor of eagles trading down and taking him but they weren't looking for a big receiver.

I'd argue he's been the 2nd best WR from that class so far. 

Him and cedee lamb have almost identical stats over their two first years 

Was never a fan of Juedy but he's had a rough go, his qbs and offense have sucked but hasn't looked good for him, still better than reagor 

Reagor to me is a head scratcher, not so much the pick as stated above I understand the 🤔 Ng behind it even if one doesn't agree with the thinking 

What I don't get is how he looks nothing like his college tape.

On tape in college he was fast and explosive and quick in and out if his breaks, he was often the fastest player in the field 

Fast forward to now and he often looks like he's running in mud with a couple cheeseburgers stuffed in his pants, and he's just such a head case, which isn't the norm for guys that have nfl bloodlines.

Oh well, I'm not sure he has what it takes mentally to ever out it together he just seems totally lost.
