Forgive my ignorance here, but I’m reading about Chad Muma being diabetic and wearing an insulin pump during games. Where the heck can that be placed on his body where it’s safe from being ripped out?

He likely doesn't wear it during games. There are many ways that athletes mix short and long term insulin injections from epi pens with continuous pump use to offset glucose production and insulin use during strenuous athletic activities. Its fairly well established at this point. My T1D son would keep glucose monitor on with the pump used to register glucose levels during sports. he just kept the pump close and monitored when possible. Ironically, it is often a high glucose level that results from athletic activity because the liver dumps stored glucose during these times. Later, the athlete has to watch for lows for about 24 hours.

Draft great athletes on the OL/DL. I think that’s where athleticism matters the most, and also how you find gems later in the draft.

FYI Andre Dillard RAS was a 9.79. Similar pass blocking numbers.  Lucas was his replacement.

Doesn't insulin shots normally go in the belly?

They might get a top 5 draft pick.  Now, if they would fire the Chip-Kelly-level incompetent GM they have, it could mean something.

Fire Chuck Fletcher and start over. Fletcher trying to resign Rasmus Ristolainen to a long-term deal is terrifying.

As a habs fan , they are in the process of ruining  their top pick , playing good hockey since bringing on Gorton and St Louis

reportedly Patriots will not tag JC Jackson and he will test free agency.

I can't even remember the last time I watched an actual baseball game and basketball has gotten to the point for me that it's almost unwatchable as well.

I used to love the NBA but it's turned into a 3 point contest every game with zero defense and it's tough to watch.

At least in the NFL they let defenses play in the post season, not so much in the regular season but NBA playoffs is still about which ever team makes the most 3s.

Nothing I hate more than watching a fast break 3 pointer😒

I had a thought months ago.  Someone should create "retro" leagues.  Leagues in each sport that play according to old school rules.  I know a lot of modern rules in the NFL and NHL are there for player safety but at the same time, professional athletes are modern day barbarians.  If athletes know the rules and risks and rules beforehand and still sign the contract to play then they assume those risks.

Another alternate football league that would be interesting to see is one with position size limitations.  Make the sport all about skill, athletic traits and coaching/execution.

All these ideas are farfetched and would never fly but fun to think about possibilities.

I think Elam will go earlier than many expect.

I’d be perfectly fine with him after a small trade down from 16 or 19, picking up additional 2’s and 3’s. Last Florida CB we took in the first turned out pretty good.

Anyone so hard up for football they are gonna give the stars a chance?

I’ll watch. I’m a sadist.

Hurts isn’t even working out yet. Bum.

I'm just so out of touch with this generation.  Who looks at this and says wow, that's great?  Apparently as of this morning 5,200 people think so.  I just don't get it.

Being Sunday, I bet Hurtsy was busy in church:

I heard he spent the morning helping underprivileged youth, worked a soup kitchen at lunch and then on his way to workout he rescued a litter of puppies from a burning vehicle.  All will be uploaded in a highlight video later this morning.

Walker is top ten easily. Maybe top 5 now. He's my favorite player but I don't see how we can get with him without a major trade up. Cat is out of the bag on Walker now.

It’s common to do so but they can also be done in the leg or arm. Years ago when I took insulin, I would change up the place I’d inject it.

Hidden in that is Kirk Herbstreit as the Thursday Night Football color analyst.  My heart sank before I did a search and found out that he will still be doing college football.  Herbie and Fowler are the voices of Saturday Night NCAA games as well as College Gameday.  Would hate to see him leave.

I was with Howie on that one; I had SF as the 2nd best team in the NFC going into the season (I overestimated them a bit to be sure) and I had MIA missing the playoffs with Tua having to carry the load at QB.

One of the biggest shockers for me was Hammered , I just didn’t see this all world prospect out there  , at any point of the combine . Not only would he not be a top 15 pick for me , but I would prefer take a safety or two before him

You know all those designed Jalen Reagor plays which are just a complete waste of time?

WAN’DALE ROBINSON might be able to execute them. If he’s available in the early 4th round he’d make sense.
