If Hurts is the QB of 2022, instead of starting the 2022 season thread, just skip it and start the 2023 offseason thread, because the season will be over before it began. No reason to watch the Eagles in 2022 if Hurts is the QB. They're a boring, mediocre product with no chance to win anything.

The 2021 offense is the ceiling for a Hurts' offense in the NFL. That's as good as it can be. Without a dominant OL and running game, watch out...

They really shouldn't move him unless Wilson just flat out refused to play for them.

Seattle is going to suck.

Kind of think seattle is gearing up picks to get their QB next year and realize Russ didn’t really want to be there and at 33 they needed to start looking for their next QB anyway.

They won’t win anything with a different qb either

I can't wait to see what the Seahawks got out of this. They tank next year with Locke, get a top pick for a good QB, they'll possibly be better in the long run

It did say the trade is pending his approval.

Maybe his wife is a big John Denver fan.

Damn they only gave up two 1sts.

I view it this way. It’s obvious that Wilson wanted out. It’s obvious cause been rumors and leaks for over a year now. At 33 the Seahawks would have to eventually find their next QB or keep him around as he’s wants out. Meanwhile eventually he leaves or you trade him down the road for even less picks as he’s older. Meanwhile they’re already At a deficit of picks due to the Jamal Adams trade. i think they realize it was best for Wilson to leave and for them to get picks to figure out their QB situation either this year by taking willis at 9 with Denver’s pick or have assets next year to strike or if they suck they are picking high enough anyway and have extra picks.

Unsure if this is sarcastic or not but I kind of agree. I feel with Hurts here I have a pretty good grasp of what'll happen next year.

Disagree. Imgiane Russ leaving the NFC, and us getting Rodgers(probably would of never happened) but we'd probably be top 3 favorite wise.

Even if we did get Russ we'd probably be put up in the NFC Championship talks.

I think this offense is really really good with talent, just need a QB

You realize that with a better defense, Metcalf and Lockett, Wilson missed the playoffs twice, got knocked out in the WC twice, and only advanced by beating a mediocre Eagles team in the WC?

What makes you think he'd have more success here after we gave up all those assets and cap room and couldn't improve our mediocre defense?

Imagine our defense giving up 2 1sts this year, a 2nd this year and next year (and Denver's first is much better so we'd have to give up more), Hargrave and another starter.

Not sarcastic at all. The Eagles have been relegated to iPad duty with me for the last two seasons now, with Red Zone on the big screen on Sundays, and Red Zone gets 80% of my attention on game days. The Eagles are a boring tough watch, and will continue to be next season if Hurts is the QB.

Assuming Wilson wanted to come here, I would have done this trade.

That's supposed to be the biggest trade?

Who knows if Seattle would have traded Wilson in the NFC.

If they got that for Wilson, then Watson will be a lot lower.

Get it done Howie.

My guess is Tim Patrick.

Noah Fant is the 3rd guy

No way.  Glad Howie stayed away from this.  That's a haul for a 33 year old QB.  This is the kind of trade that will either propel them to the superbowl or will send them to the top of the draft for the next decade.

Same issue as Russ. If Watson is open to coming here, it makes a ton of sense.

Seahawks have had their pants down there.

wilsons not even that good 😌

So Watson.....
