The cost is him being a net negative to them as a whole. He's unredeemable here. Cut him now and focus on bringing in somebody who can actually provide positive returns.

So you need some metrics to put what you see on film in perspective, does he look fast b/c he's matched up against less athletic opponents? Yeah, his game film where he didn't really look all that impressive was against some of the weakest defenses in the entire country. Should have been another red flag. But top speed is far less important to me than sustained speed anyway. top speed... sustained speed? So, who is actually 'faster'?

No desire to actually improve. No desire to be a professional. Just all talk. And his dad... same deal. A former NFL player, you'd think, would be more realistic.

One or the other just won't be enough. That's why I'm more willing to take risks with injury over talent or head/heart like Dickerson. All players come with risk, but for me, if they don't love to play the game and have a drive to be great, then they'd better have an insane talent level to make up the difference. Nah... I think that the elite level talents that still don't love the game just leave you heart broken in the end as well.

IMO, if they don't have the want, drive or love to play the game, I wouldn't even bother. At worst you end up with a no talent like Danny Watkins, at best you end up with a Josh Gordon.

I feel like if he is available theres no reason to pass on him.

How bout the vast majority of his college production came from the slot, as I remember he only played 1 year in the outside in college as a sophomore and then a JR he played in the slot So 1 year on the outside one year I. The slot where he had majority of his production. It's not a myth.

I guess it depends where you are taking them and how much you put into them. At the top of the draft, absolutely. Get into the 4th round though or if you are looking for depth, I'm less concerned. At least there the risk is worth the potential reward.

Anyone who actually WATCHED HIM PLAY, knew that he wasn't just a slot. Myth.

Day 3 picks you are always going to have to compromise on something. Though, even then, I think I go with the crazy kid who loves football over the uber-talent because the crazy kid that loves the game will be stoked to play ST if that's his only shot, whereas the uber-talent likely pouts.

Jefferson's film was against a ton of guys who will be drafted early and play well in the NFL. Reagor's film was in a conference of scrubs.

No desire to actually improve. No desire to be a professional. Just all talk. I have no idea how he approaches the game. At a certain point either he has the talent or not. I don't see unrealized talent. I just see a lack of it. I don't foresee him changing his issues based on his attitude. I don't think his route running is going to change suddenly if he just humbles up and learns. I think he has gotten where he can go with it. Also it's not just his limits as a receiver but his on the field mistakes. He has dropped key passes. I mean despite multiple opportunities he has done nothing as a punt returner and was a liability when the wind made it difficult. So the pressure was on and the conditions were difficult and Reagor choked on the moment. I don't see that changing. He's not going to get faster or shiftier. We did see Agholor improve in his third year and maybe we shouldn't give up hope because of his improvement. Agholor had shown talent but struggled against good press coverage. He had issues with drops and consistency. In 2017 was a player he greatly improved when there was no spotlight on his play and he played inside. He had a much easier time getting open in the slot. He wasn't a number 1 receiver and the top outside target. He actually produced more first downs than any other receiver that season on third downs. He had confidence but it was fragile. Once he dropped that pass in 2019, he was done. It's still who he is. He's been productive but he's deficiencies have changed.
January 20, 20223 yr Just an awesome play by Stafford looking to his left at kupp and then last second going to his right and hitting the wr with a dime.
