Something to think about with him. Can play the slot and return punts. We know Sirianni values blocking some, and that tends to come into play more in the slot.

I don’t get this take. Is Wentz going to return to 2017 form? Probably not. Is he better than Jalen Hurts? Definitely. We are going to have trouble beating Washington with our current roster.

He hates Wentz

Guess after we robbed them by selling that bum at a fantasy price a little f— you from them is well deserved.

Except they can’t even get that right. Him playing in the division is a present.

I still can't get over how their SB odds dropped after trading for Wentz.

Nothing quite like a 7th-ish choice. :P

Like the Eagles, Rodgers/Wilson/Watson were not in play for Washington

I do think it's likely Jimmy G turned down a trade there, though.

The Sportsbooks hate him, just like everyone else I guess.

It‘s a division opponent but if I compare rosters and think about draft and FA this should be easy wins.

And Hurts is way better than Wentz was the last two seasons. At this point I‘d rather have Minshew than Wentz. Open your eyes: People can‘t wait to get rid of him. Every fan of the NFCE (except WC) is celebrating his return. Because he is that bad.

Really like him. I just dont consider him much because Im more focused on a #2 outside guy.

Phillips is the best slot in this draft and should instantly be a dominant slot WR like Renfrow in the NFL.

If we sign a starter on the outside in FA, Phillips should probably be our top WR target in the draft.

I can complain about Hurts, but at least the Eagles aren't paying a bad QB $40M per year like the Turds are.

Emmitt Smith should speak with Amari Cooper about their QB evaluation

I'm glad you're coming around on Minshew.  He's the best QB the Eagles have right now.

Their odds dropped because the previous odds accounted for the potential they got Watson or someone better than Wentz, but yeah it's still Fing hilarious nonetheless. Wentz is such a Fing loser. It's crazy too because in 2017 he seemed like the perfect teammate. No one was the wiser about what he actually was.

Proof winning cures all ails.

Does Frank dare go to Irsay and push for Nick Foles??

He's not a bad option as a bridge guy if they try to get into the lower first to grab a QB. Keep the new starter every year streak going this year and next.

No. The only Detroit FA I'm interested in is Charles Harris.

Kind of responding in order:

The issue with a DT at 4i is that you that they can shift to a 3T in a 4-man alignment, but they generally don't have the pass rushing chops to be a DE.  So, if we drafted say Wyatt he could definitely be a 4i/3T but he'd be splitting reps most likely with Milton.

Yes, going heavy on DL makes sense as Cox should be gone and do we want to extend a 30+ Hargrave.  Drafting them this year means the estate planning is moved as far along as possible.

Correct, Milton is a scheme fit for 4i/ multi-front defense.  Really good pick, and maybe a sign Gannon knows his personnel since Howie might be a blind squirrel/pig, etc.

I disagree, Davis is a 0T in a 3-man line and a 1T in a 4-man front.  He's athletic enough to play 4i, but I think you'd be playing him out of position (and who'd be better at taking those reps at NT?).

Definitely, if we miss on DE-4i/DE-OLB/NT in the 1st there are some very worthwhile prospects on Day 2... just less freaky.  To name a few:

4i-DE: Josh Pascal

DE-OLB: Myjai Sanders (a bunch of these actually)

NT: Travis Jones

Thanks I'll have to look up those names.

I‘ve always been an outspoken fan of Minshew. I like to have a strong backup.

I don‘t think he is better than Hurts, but Hurts will have to prove that to everyone this year or he‘s gone.

I guess I'm one of those people?

Wentz is a huge upgrade of over Hurts. Huge upgrade over Hienckie and a top 15QB.

If you told me Wentz wanted to come back and the colts wanted a 3rd and Hurts I'd do it in a heartbeat

This is why people don’t respect your opinion much in here

He is meant to be more than a bridge , they could have just rolled with Hineke  if they want a bridge  , and saved draft picks and 30 million

I like Travis Jones, actually knew if him and he should be available after 1st round and i think at NT Davis is much better.

Guess the issue would be does one spend a first on a NT???

In the past he'd be a no brainer top 10 pick but in a league that passes almost 70% of the time the name of the game is pass rush.

Not sure if Davis can be much of a pass rusher but can he be a guy that can occupy two blockers push the pocket and free others up for one on one pass rush opportunities?

As for paschal the combine numbers look good he seems a bit of a tweener which seems like something Gannon likes, question? How's his arm length?

"As an Eagle he (Derek Barnett) had more penalties than sacks (25 to 21 ½) and more penalty yards than sack yards (176 to 141).”

Wow

If the eagles needed a blocking WR they could just keep JJAW the enforcer ☹️

Phillips is a heck of a WR. Not just a blocking WR like JJAW.

It's more so they had the odds set higher since they said they were going to be aggressive getting a QB and made an offer for Wilson. Once it came out it was Carson it was lowered.
