They have a top defense.  2 VERY good WR and an underrated TE.  They are in prime position in the draft to either draft another weapon or improve the OL.  Washington, like Dallas, seems to know how to draft top athletes from major conferences.  They are going to have a very nice team around Wentz.

The one thing Wentz had last year that he won't now is Jonathan Taylor.  He was an enormous for the Colts to lean on.  He's also going to be learning his 3rd offense in 3 years and it will be interesting to see how he handles that.

With all that being said, you're 100% right.  The chances of him being 2017 Wentz are slim.  He is also 100% better than Hurts.  With our luck, he will find his old form.

Well, it depends on which Wentz shows up. Chances are neither (Hurts or Wentz) win you a playoff game. If my life depended on the outcome of the game...I'm screwed...but would go with Wentz because his issues are mental and maybe he gets hot. Hurts doesn't have a real chance because he can't throw the ball well or see the field. The correct answer is who cares because they both need to be gone and never dressing for the Eagles again and I'd love to see them play either in a playoff game.

In the past he'd be a no brainer top 10 pick but in a league that passes almost 70% of the time the name of the game is pass rush.

Not sure if Davis can be much of a pass rusher but can he be a guy that can occupy two blockers push the pocket and free others up for one on one pass rush opportunities?

As for paschal the combine numbers look good he seems a bit of a tweener which seems like something Gannon likes, question? How's his arm length?

 

I'm comfortable taking a very good run-stuffing NT in the 1st because it allows the D to stay in nickel without being an obvious target for the run.  Making the opposing offense one-dimensional should offset the effect of a minus pass rusher (even so, JD99 has his moments when singled up).  I've mentioned Vita Vea before and how he benefits the TB defense, specifically the LB play where they can fly around unmolested... the caveat is that Vea can play 60% of the defensive snaps.  Davis dropped weight for combine, and if his endurance allows him to play the standard rotational role - then I think he is worth it. 

Paschal tested better than I expected honestly, but his arms are not 35"+ like Travon's.  At 32.75" his armlength is merely adequate but 1/2 inch longer than BG's.  If the FO gets Paschal later, then I hope we get a fastball in the 1st to play the DE/SAM role (e.g., Ojabo/Johnson) to balance the overall skillset of the DL.

wentz is going to lose his sheet when he gets booed even louder in dc when the eagles go there. you know he's already pissed to be playing for a scumbag like snyder.

this is what one of the dipsheet dc fans are bragging about wentz on extremeskins....there's only issue with this thinking. many of those numbers were compiled against dc. wentz played eight games vs. dc in his career, going 5-3 during that span.

Zach Berman just said something interesting on his podcast - that the Eagles see Watkins as more of an outside receiver than a slot, so they will be more likely to draft someone to play the slot than the X, which probably takes London off the board for them but brings Burks solidly into play, along with Olave if they go wr in the first.

Quez is fine outside. Maybe even good. Maybe even very good. But Id be surprised if they didnt look to find someone proven there, in addition to upgrading the slot. 

I dont see why it would take London off the board unless they are completely against having a big slot. 

Olave, or Dotson might be great in the slot. But if they are focused on the slot theyd be smarter to wait an extra round or 2 to draft Phillips.

Yea I agree with This. If Wentz is on, there’s not many QB in the league that are as talented & can make the throws he does. Problem is inconsistencies, and not on a game to game basis, but on a play to play basis. You’re always nervous when he’s about to snap the ball. With Hurts, you’ll never win because of him. He’s too limited. He can sustain drives with his running ability, maybe with a some decent throws you can score some points to stay in the game. 
 

But yeah, neither are a good choice

London played a ton in the slot last year. He’d give the Eagles three players who can move around.

It's going to be awesome watching Ben Simmons get booed starting tonight.  He 100% deserves it.  

I know the fanbase is split on Wentz but what has he done to deserve being booed and why would that be awesome?  There are lots of conflicting stories of how he composed himself in the locker room but we really have no facts or anything that says, yea he's trash teammate.  I know the article was released this week about the injured player issue but even with that, what do we know?   

We wouldn't have a SB52 trophy without Carson Wentz.  He embraced the city, did a lot for his charity and people in the city and like it or not, it seems he has a lot of teammates ready to go to bat for him.  

We can argue about his on the field capabilities all day long but IMO, he's done nothing to deserve being booed.

Being satisfied with Quez Waktins if some of the talent at WR falls in to their laps in round 1 would be a mistake.
