Tbh my belief was always their best chance for a title was next year. I still think they have another shoe to drop with Harris. I don’t think he’s a good fit and they make that move either next offseason or trade deadline. I also think their bench besides niang is not very consistent. Shake, kork, joe, Danny green and Jordan are not good enough. Still think they are a top 5-6 team but i do think suns (when healthy), warriors (when healthy), nets( when healthy), bucks are better than them.

I don't disagree.    This was an ugly game start to finish and too many unforced errors.  It wasn't that the Nets defense was that good, it was that the Sixers were that sloppy.  And we saw a lot of errand passes from Harden in the wins, but it wasn't that big a deal, because their shots were falling.   The shots didn't fall tonight, and then they got tight and made bad plays trying to force things.

I also think 3 things were overlooked going into this game. The Brooklyn Nets were always going to come into that game with the mentality of it’s us against the world since Philly fans were going to go after Ben Simmons with everything that happened. And they were going to go out there and try their damnedest to win that game for him and play with that chip on their shoulder. And you saw it early in the game they were very physical and pushing guys around. I think it set the tone from the very start.

The second thing is that embiid was talking crap to Kevin Durant the last time we played them and won.  you know Kevin Durant is going to remember it and use it. 

The third thing is, not only did the James Harden trade piss off Kevin Durant. it also had a bunch of rumors with Kyrie that likely pissed him off. So you had a pissed off Nets team at James Harden that wanted to stick it to him on top of what I said previously. I’m not really that shocked the Nets came in here and won. I think the 30-40 margin plays into the things I’ve said and the sixers just being atrocious tonight.

I wonder what the general reaction in the fanbase would be if Howie took 3 offensive players in the first round of the draft.  Not sure if it would be positive or negative.

I still expect a QB with one of them. I have no idea which one it will be or if we trade up but if we don't take a QB I'll be very surprised.

Holy moly that game sucked - I actually started watching the Flyers instead. Should have stayed home and watched Cheers… although I was waiting for Ben to go all Iron Sheik in the 3rd quarter in the interest of his pay appeal. Didn’t happen… complete entertainment zero.

Caplan has honestly talked more about being ''right about Byron Jones'' a couple of years ago on the last two podcasts than names the Eagles are interested in right now.

It was 10 minutes of random Flacons talk that was either wrong or incoherent, random talk about a used car dealership, plugging current or possible random podcasts, a random tangent about random Twitter accounts recycling news they said but didn’t properly plug the podcast which will be followed by in the future a random tangent about random Twitter accounts that properly plugged the podcast but Caplan was wrong so it should have never been a report. Pathetic. They were supposed to have ''intel'' on the last pod, and then promised it for this one after the supposedly confirmed with their sources.. They said the same few names we've been hearing about and said vague crap like ''they could or might be interested.''
