Just adding my two cents, being verified isn’t the end all be all on Twitter. If they change jobs and change their Twitter handle to not include the previous employer, they lose verification. That’s what happened to Derek Gunn but he still breaks news better than current beat writers.

Also, prefacing he won’t waive his no trade clause with "it’s my understanding” leads me to believe he doesn’t have a great source on it. It’s a yes or no question.

Seattle makes absolutely no sense for Watson or Seattle. I think that has to be a ruse by the Texans to get some leverage.

Aaron Wilson is close to Watson and is working to get him more. Wilson got fired from his job because he said the accusers were holding him hostage.

Seattle has the players? They have like two good players left in their roster, and they’re both WRs.

He isn’t coming here 😂😂

People can say this and that about capital, Eagles have the most.

I agree with that, but Idk who Aaron Wilson is. He is using him as a source and refuses to show the article why. Telling me to do it. I even said I could agree with him if I knew what he was talking about.

What do you call Howie's plan to get Watson without giving up the 15th pick?

The 1619 Project

I'll be here all week.

Yeah, and he saw Wilson want to leave because Carroll wants to play 1980s football and has a terrible OL.

Aaron Wilson is like the Schefter of Houston.

I’d put McClain up there as well.

The contradiction of reports is something.

Wilson may very well turn out to be wrong. However he got fired over the watson situation defending watson. And has been some of the best source of news dealing with watson even prior to this. He and McClain are two of the best sources for everything houston sports

Not sure about scheme fits/cap space here but Panthers have some good young defensive players they can offer. Their 1st rd pick has more weight than the 15th pick also. Their future 1sts will likely be higher than ours also.

Doesn’t matter how much draft capital we have if Watson doesn’t want to be here.

Yup

Apparently the Dodgers have a big offer on the table for Freddie Freeman. Down to then and the Braves it appears.  Fing Dodgers man.  Unlimited funds.

I Fing hate the dodgers as much the mets and Braves to be honest. But that might be living out here dealing with those dbag fans all the time.

Yeah the 6th overall pick has 1600. If we traded 15 and 19 it’s 1925 off this chart.

Not with Watson. They win that division with ease.

Yeah I’d be surprised if Carolina doesn’t win that division with watson if he goes there. Bucs have an unknown at QB, saints Tysom hill and have to make moves to get below the cap. Atlanta is just bad

I read through a bunch of the ones near the top, through the 90s. Not going to take the time to read the whole thing

https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/nfl_teams_that_have_made_three_or_more_first_round_picks_in_one_draft/s1__30198380#slide_19

However, the point I want to make is, just because we have the most draft capital, doesnt mean Watson is more valuable than any QB thats been traded before. I dont see any of those teams with 3 firsts ever trading them all for a QB. I dont think its been done.

Just because we have the most, doesnt mean we should have to trade it all. Its not just a question of what we have to give, but what is Watson's fair value? I dont think its realistic to require something that teams rarely even have.

I believe there are 1 or 2 more teams with 2 first round picks this year. So, for any other team in the NFL the maximum price they can pay in 2021 1sts, is 2. And if we werent in this uncommon situation having 3 of them, any other team would be able to land Watson for 2 firsts this year. Why should we have to pay more?

I get being the high bidder. But that should be within reason. Some teams can match 2, but no one can outbid 2. Thats as high as we should go.

You can squabble over whether to include a 2nd or a 3rd this year. And which picks from next year can be included. But the eagles should definitely draw the line at 2 of our 3 firsts this year.

I think in addition to having the best draft capital available, we can probably put the nicest package of players together. Carolina isnt that good. CMC is their best chip and he is a broken down RB with a high price tag. I dont really consider New Orleans in this picture because I dont see how they can clear that much cap. I dont see anyone beating a potential package including any/all of Cox, Sanders, Hurts or Minshew, and Dillard.

Also heard Kempski say he might not want to come to Philly because it’s a liberal city. That argument completely falls apart if he chooses Seattle of all places.
