Carson was what? $34 million?  Nothing like $74 million in 2 consecutive years just to not have guys on the team.

Its not 40M, it’s 25M. Option bonus of 15M not due till September. Also team may agree to take on some of that money to get him.

25M is still a lot for a player that wont be on the team

A guy I've been eyeing up all offseason as someone I'd be willing to trade one of the firsts for.  Would give us an elite blue chip pass rusher at 27 years old.

Our Elite GM is a Cap genius.

He must be... who else could roll so much dead cap space in consecutive years... and still not only have the job, but also have some people still respecting him and discussing him as knowing what he's doing... etc.

I admit, I'm probably too hung up on ages but trading a 1st for a DE in his prime (28 during the season) with a large cap number just doesn't make sense to me.  I don't see this team being a SB contender in the next 2-3 years so much like Slay and Hargrave (FA), they'd be trading assets for a guy who is going to waste his prime during a rebuild.

I would much rather use those picks to build a team.  Look at the Redskins.  They built that defense primarily through the draft.  They signed guys occasionally in FA but they kept their draft picks to build the core of that defense.  I think the Eagles need to do the same.  Build a defense in the draft, be smart in FA.  Don't overpay for a guy like Chandler Jones.  When AR signed Jon Runyan, you knew he was a building block in the up and coming roster they had.  This team on defense has ZERO building blocks.

East of Kulpmont and we got about 5". Was windy and cold but nothing debilitating. I always say when Philly gets a cold we get the flu so Philly must be fine.

Tony Adams, CB from Illinois had a great workout today. On ESPN he is listed at 6'0'' 205. He ran a 4.38 with a 41.5 vert, and a 10'10'' broad.

They have a center, Doug Kramer with a 4.83 40, 9'1'' broad, and 26 bench reps.

Adams proday was Friday

I havent found a good site tracking these yet. Walterfootball used to do a good job but I dont see it yet.

Ive been looking at some giants site, but they just post a bunch of tweets from the school and half of them dont even have workout numbers.

Have any sources?

This teams window will be open at least 2-3 years whenever they get to opening it.

I agree on Slay and Hargrave.  Slay is already 31 entering the last year of his deal and Hargrave 29 entering the last year of his deal.  But Hunter is 27.  He won't enter a season aged 30 until 2025.  If he can play well until he's 32 than that's 5 years you get out of an elite pass rusher.  This is no 10 year build.

If it only takes one first to get him then the Eagles can still build the defense in the draft.  It would give them an immediate premiere impact player for now and the next 3-5 years and they'd still have two firsts to add more talent on defense.

The window will open when they finally get a QB.  Who knows how long that will take?

You keep spouting that it will cost all 3 1sts. It won’t. It will cost Hurts, Dillard, 1 2022 1st, 1 2023 1st/2nd, and a later round pick at most.

Do you want a mulligan?

Hopefully it happens tomorrow. Because we need to know how to act at 12pm on Monday. Near the cap ceiling with our franchise QB in palce? Or money to burn on some young safety/LB, WRs.

They have a QB.  They have two QBs actually.  A better defense will do wonders for this team.
