Ridder is my second choice.  No thanks for Corral.  He's not worth a 1 to me.

Are you a Carson Strong fan? Is that your top choice?

How did Alabama show he doesn't? It shows the exact opposite.  He didn't immediately leave.  He stayed a year as Tua's backup, never caused any issues at all and was the ultimate teammate and then in the SEC Championship Game came in when Tua got hurt and led the comeback win.

Saban choking up talking about how well Jalen handled it.  Really impressive just how wrong your post is.

Because when he wanted to move on, it was only in the senior year that a player could transfer without having to sit a year.

Ideally…I wouldn’t take any of these guys in the first. But if they go defense 15, defense 16, and trade 19 down into the 26-32 range picking up a R2 pick and grab a QB there at the end of the first I’d be ok with it.

The Bucs, Panthers and Saints being interested in Watson is fascinating. Would Watson OK a deal to at least two in the division to create a real bidding war, or does he pick one pony, which would artificially suppress the max value?

The Panthers have the highest first-round pick and are reportedly dangling some good young players.

The Saints have a really good roster, but it’s mostly high contract guys with bloated cap hits on the backend. With Watson, they look like a playoff team, even with a six-game suspension

The Bucs have the worst first round pick and a really good roster. They appear to be the best match for Watson in terms of being a SN contender, but what young players would they be willing to add to the deal?

That's part of why I am on Strong, then Ridder.  Both should be 2nd round picks.

He was sitting anyway for the year on the bench.  All reports coming out of that season were how great of a teammate Jalen was that year.  No disruption, nothing.  How can you say he doesn't have the mental toughness to take football decisions personally based on what we saw happen in Alabama?  How low character are you to just completely fabricate something so detached from the reality of every report otherwise of that season in Alabama just so you can try to smear Hurts.

For all of you who keep asking what arm talent is

I don’t think it’s possible for an athlete to have handled the situation better.

Both Ridder and Strong have high throwing power. Strong has the accuracy advantage but Ridder has him crushed in terms of athletic ability. I don’t want a running QB but I do want someone who can do something when a play breaks down. Strong’s degenerative knee condition also bothers me. Abs Ridder looked better at the SB and combine. I think Ridder goes anywhere from 28-42.

When I think impact, I think Braxton Berrios.

Well, considering that when Wentz was benched here, he didn't cause any disruption, just asked to be traded, and left when he could, its pretty disingenuous of anyone to pretend that Hurts didn't do the exact same thing when it happened to him.  And, I didn't bring up Wentz... Reub did.

As for my character... I fabricated nothing.  On the other hand, you read into my post something that wasn't there, which is a you problem, not a me problem.

Bucs have 24 free agents , they will probably lose 10 starters , and some home grown talent .

they’re about to get much younger

The report about the Saints and Panthers making an offer screams to me that the Texans are trying to get more from a different team.

Howie has something up his sleeve for sure

Obviously, my preference of Strong is with the caveat of the medical.  I have no access to that, so I can't weigh that properly.

Is Hurts somewhere around a 63?

There were reports that Wentz and Pederson didn't even talk for the last few weeks of the season after he was benched.

This👆  if they draft him in the 2nd, Lowie can say they are just drafting a backup, QB factory, gold standard etc

I really feel like Ridder is going to be that guy.

Mmm-hmmm.

If that were true, I have no doubts that the Eagles would not have wanted to keep Wentz around... and yet, they did.  So, I'm going to say that report is either completely fabricated, or blown way out of proportion.

Regardless, my point was and still is, Hurts will want out if another QB is brought in, just Wentz did, and just like he did in Alabama, as soon as he didn't have to sit for a full season to do so.

I laughed way too hard at this.

Same, They would let go of Wentz who they traded a 1st and 3rd to settle for Minshew?

Colts understand that window is NOW with the team they have. There are some options to make them in the SB contending range again. Im sure Minshew is NOT one of those options.

Why does that mean the Eagles would not have wanted to keep Wentz around when they fired the HC that Wentz wasn't talking to?

There is a big difference between the Eagles bringing in a QB in a big trade to be the starting QB than the Eagles drafting a QB to be the backup which causes the starter to mentally meltdown resulting in the worst year of his career out of nowhere.  Also while it's reasonable to understand that Hurts might then want out for a chance to try and start elsewhere similiar to Minshew in Jacksonville, but based on what we saw in Alabama we every reason to believe that he would not become a malcontent in the backup role and instead will remain the ultimate team player unlike the way Wentz behaved based on all reports that came out surrounding that era of time.
