Bush was 100% for most of the year. Steelers have a good defense,. (not great) End of the day, a playoff team upgraded and an extremely important positon. They were an 9 win playoff team, same as us. They loss their division to a 7 loss team, the worst division winner in the entire league. Not having the lead is why they gave up so many yards? There are teams that ended the season with half as many wins that blew them out of the water. If Pittsburgh was supposed to be top 10 and they got 13th, you could make excuses why that might be. But they weren’t 13th. They were the single worst run defense on planet Earth. The Jaguars and the Texans can’t throw the football. They have to rely on the run game to get anywhere right now. They ply each other twice. Furthermore, they have the Titans twice, the team that has dominated the NFL’s running metrics the last few years… if it wasn’t for how unbelievable the Colts run game was this year… who they play twice too. Those two teams were just awful in run defense, and rightfully so. EVEN STILL they did better than Pittsburgh. And not just a little better, Pittsburgh was way worse. 5 yards a carry, those are pro bowl caliber numbers. Pittsburgh averaged allowing opponents to put up pro bowl caliber numbers against them. That’s insane. That’s not 1 player away from being good. If you take every team’s run defense situation, and give it a score from 31 to 0, Pittsburgh then gets a 0, because nobody was worse. You can’t then say the team that scored a 0 did a good job. Relatively speaking, it’s impossible to do worse than 0. That’s failure on a systemic level. No, they do not have a good defense.

March 14, 20223 yr Aaron Wilson reporting that the Browns are offering 8 first rounders, 15 2nd rounders, JOK, Ward, Garrett, and Conklin for Watson.

March 14, 20223 yr Chiefs in on Allen Robinson. As if they didn't have enough WRs already. I swear to Fing god, Howie.

March 14, 20223 yr Burrow was an old sophomore. Howie is doing what he usually does in FA, wait out the first "winner's curse" wave of signings, then look for value. The dropoff in quality is usually less than the dropoff in price, as teams exhaust their cap space (both resigning their own and on FAs) and landing spots disappear. They'll probably bring McLeod back on an inexpensive one year deal, he can be useful in a spot role and as a mentor to the young DBs (both on the roster and added in the draft). They'll sign a FA safety if one is available at a reasonable price. But Howie has 10 draft picks (11 after a Dillard deal), a team that just went 9-8 in the first year of a rebuild, he has no pressure to make the playoffs from his owner and knows he's two years from making a SB push.

Yeah I’m sure lurie is just thrilled with 4 total years of not being a SB contender…

These arguments are so F*****ING stupid. The Steelers could have Lamar, Burrow and Watson in thier division by the end of the day. I guess they should try to relegate to the CFL? No. They should just do better than Mitch Fing Trubisky.

The guy has a career record better than Kirk cousins and made the playoffs twice. It was a good/necessary signing for the Steelers.

March 14, 20223 yr They missed on Wilson. They will likely be out on Watson. At this point, what is there to gain by signing a few overpriced FA's? This team isnt competing with Tampa/GB. Save the cash. Use MOST of this years draft picks, maybe move some to 2023. Build from the draft and when the TEAM is ready, make a big move at QB in a year or 2. Hurts/Minshew/Whoever can man the team to a 6-8 win season next year. Look for big improvement in 2023.
March 14, 20223 yr Forget free agency, bacarty making an utter fool of himself is way more entertaining.
