If a rebuild takes 3 to 4 years, then Reddick's contract will be expired by the time you are ready to compete. Should have invested that money in a guy you can then sign to a second contract when you are ready. I disagree, kinda. I see where you're coming from, but in order to rebuild you need some building blocks in place. Graham is on his way out, Sweat is still fairly unproven as a starter. Cox/Hargrave may not be here much longer. We need some veteran leadership at all levels. Reddick can give you that as some of these guys filter out. Aside from that, it's always possible they sign him to a small extension in a year or two as well. He's only 27 and theoretically could play another 4 years or so after his deal with us is up.

BG is going to be cut after next year (designate post June 1), and who knows what he will be after his injury. Agreed. I'm happy with either one. If they can pair that with Wyatt and a CB, I'll be ecstatic.
March 14, 20223 yr Some Reddick stats 2021 - 9 games with 1 or less sack 2020 - 8 games with 1 or less sack ( and 5 of his 12 1/2 sacks came in one game )

I like the player, just seems to go against the notion of rebuilding. Where are we getting the QB ?? Signing Reddick does not hinder the quest for a QB. Is your position is that the Eagles cannot make a transaction until they upgrade Hurts?

Undersized, can be exposed in coverage, and 4 minutes ago, downundermike said: Some Reddick stats 2021 - 9 games with 1 or less sack 2020 - 8 games with 1 or less sack ( and 5 of his 12 1/2 sacks came in one game )

Arizona tried to have him do other "stuff”, he wasn’t very good. Hopefully he’ll get his step brother to come out of retirement for the Sixers.

I see it as an upgrade to what we have and someone who can play well/help us rebuild. He is streaky though, I agree.

Yeah honestly I'm a bit worried about Gannon and his "scheme". Reddick is now the best pass rusher on this team so I just hope we actually use him properly as such.

He's not a coverage LB or a run-stopping DE. He's a pass rush weapon, plain and simple. 10 minutes ago, Bacarty2 said: Wilson > Lawrence Wait wait...do you mean Zach or Russell?
March 14, 20223 yr This signing comes down to fit. If the Eagles use Reddick as a rush SAM (which they almost certainly will given Avery/Johnson's 2021 usage) and don't force him into coverage or edge setting 60% of the time, this is arguably the best deal of free agency so far.

March 14, 20223 yr Alright Howie...now go get DJ Chark and Justin Reid and then pull this draft out of your arse:
