Are there any deals to be had on FA running backs?

How he doesn’t include Jordan Whitehead on his S list is beyond me.

Whitehead worries me.  Anytime you pull a supporting role player from a stacked defense to then raise the level of play on your defense it doesn't work out.  See Byron Maxwell.

Heres a word and definition for you.

Outlier - Noun - a person or thing situated away or detached from the main body or system.

Again, Im not arguing you guys win. This is a normal season for the jaguars. Paying scrubs like Zay Jones is normal and trying to ruin the WR Free agnecy market with one of the worst deals in history with Christian Kirk is normal

ok

You made a statement that the Jags never spend money, and that Doug is the catalyst for their spending spree this year. This was easily proven false, as they've been big spenders in the past, and often doing the exact same thing - overpaying for crappy FAs. Just take the L man, it's OK to be wrong sometimes.

So I've heard.

Curious to see who was uninterested first.

Last year Juju turned down more money to come here.

This year the Eagles were linked to JUJU

But now all of a sudden Eagles have no interest.

My guess, JUJU saw Hurts still being the QB and said F this place and then the eagles pulled the "we didnt want you anyways" card

Eagles are probably negotiating a trade for a WR since it’s completely insane to play the WR free agency game.

Not interested in anyone in the first wave of FA. Good draft depth in R3-6.

Don’t see a ton of obvious ones. My ideal possibly realistic one would be Boyd. Getting a sure-handed veteran playmaker in the slot could really help Hurts, but who knows if the Bengals would even be interested.

I was more interested in 2nd / 3rd wave bargain guys, a la LaGarrett Blount?

How about getting Bobby Wagner here?  He's past his prime, but is an experienced veteran that we could plug into the middle of the D.

I think the Panthers were looking to trade Christian McCaffrey, that's an option.

I could see them rolling the dice on Marlon Mack cheap for obvious reasons. Has some size and will be cheap coming off injury.

Important given our Caldwell connection

I feel like he’s at the point in his career where he’s looking for one big final payday or will want to play for a contender. I don’t think he gets either one in Philly

Have always really liked him

Proven false? you act like the Jaguars are big spenders year in and year out. For the past 30 years they've done it a couple times.

But again, you guys are right. I'm taking the L.

How is any team going to be big spenders every year?  There is a salary cap you know.

When the Jaguars have had a lot of cap space in the past they have done the same thing they did this year. Imagine thinking Doug had any say on contracts here when he couldn't even run the ball without getting reprimanded by the GM.

Baalk is the Jaguars Howie. Overly involved GM with a death grip on his job that as a result caused a number of candidates to turn the job down.  He's the one running the show on free agents and contracts.

He’s going to a contender

Their first season was 1995. That's not 30 years.

So since the CBA from 2011, look who's number 1!

Ever since Shad Khan took control of the team in 2012, the Jacksonville Jaguars have flaunted the checkbook. For a moment in 2017, it seemed a worthwhile philosophy. The Jaguars reached the AFC Championship Game and nearly took down the Patriots.

To circle back on your original point, maybe it's the owner who's driving the free agent bus, and not the new head coach?

Eagles should look into trading for Laviska Shenault. Apparently hes on the trading block for the Jags. Perfect for slot and YAC machine.

Id happily take Jack. Injury prone maybe.. but he is still better than all of our LB's. <assuming Reddick is a DE in our system>

Jack is only 26 (turns 27 in September)..

I’m all in on Myles Jack.
