Then he is, but I'm guessing Lurie presumes he isn't due to the magnitude of accusations against him.

Well then Lurie is wrong. But what else is new?

John McClain said this morning that he rejected it recently.

McClain also said he's not willing to even entertain anyone but the Saints and Panthers and has since met with two other teams. He's been wrong a lot regarding Watson. Also reported last year a trade could go down very soon, when that was never the case because he was never getting traded before the criminal stuff was resolved.

No Chark, no comp picks, bringing Ward back. Can only get better from here on out 😜

Would have done that deal in a second.

Seriously hope he was trying to be funny here. I know I am not the most grammatically correct poster, but this guy has a "college education" ???     "what we post to do"

Maybe he taught him on a message board.

My bust predictions are George Karlafitis, Drake London, Trent McDuffie, every projected R1 QB not named Willis (who intrigues me)

Is that also who you expect the Eagles to draft?

That was last year around the deadline when he was zeroed in on the Dolphins. People have just taken that and assumed he wouldn't now, but no one has actually reported on if that's currently the case. I doubt it is, as he's meeting with every team. As he should, it can't hurt to test the waters and get a feel for every organization.

1. Watson said no. Which is weird because he turned down the Seahawks and it’s been reported. All the Eagles stuff is from before the trade deadline. If this is the case then you would think the Eagles would put out they aren’t interested. Better to publicly say it now.

2. Eagles aren’t interested. Which is weird. Why send a private investigator, do all this homework, and not even try to talk to him?

3. Eagles are being super quiet and not telling anyone they are talking to him. Like ONLY Lurie and Howie know and have asks the Texans and Watson to say nothing or they will be done and deny it.

I mean people change their mind about things all of the time.

Also, I know there’s a portion of the fan base that rolls their eyes when I write this, but I won’t categorically rule the Eagles out as players for Deshaun Watson until he’s traded elsewhere. They’re known to lurk. (Remember Nnamdi Asomugha in 2011?)

I haven't seen denial this reliant since some people here refused to believe that Wentz wanted to be traded and would be traded until the day came when he was traded.

There has been no indication via actual reports that he would be willing to waive his NTC for the Eagles.

I hope Watson doesn't but we also know that the Eagles rumors persist. I don't know whether the Eagles are leaking them.  It could be the Texans.  The team hasn't come out and denied interest.  It seems Watson's camp has indicated they are not interested in the Eagles.

The Eagles have to actually meet with him to sign him 😂😂

I am guessing Hicks may not have wanted to come back.  My concern at this point is they have added one starter on defense.  It looks like they are going to head into the draft with more holes than picks.

There aren't really any Eagles rumors though except that they are monitoring it.  They can only monitor it because Watson isn't taking them into consideration.

Why waste any effort monitoring the situation if you think there is no way Watson will agree to the trade? It seems unlikely but it's odd that they are even considered possible suitors if Watson is a hard no.  It' possible they just want the details of any deal.  Maybe they think there's away for them to gain something via a 3 way deal.  I mean if the Texans made it known they wanted a player the Eagles are willing to part with, it's possible monitoring the situation allows them to benefit by being a party to a 3 way trade.

It's his defense mechanism because he is a Hurts Squirt.

This is boring. Do something, Howie.

Where is the effort in monitoring the situation?  Eagles are holding out hope Watson will change his mind.  And 3 way trade?  This isn't the NBA.  When is the last time a 3 way trade even occurred in the NFL?  Ever?

Fletcher Cox isn’t a HOF’er.

Cox is comparable to Geno Atkins.  I think if he gets 12 more sacks before he retires, he's probably a good bet for the HOF.
