Just like when they went into the 2020 draft with no WRs brought in... then chose the wrong one.  And then 2 more, and one of them looks to be a good option.

I'd be surprised if that was the case.  He was drafted here and won a Super Bowl here.  He didn't really leave on bad terms.  But I'm also surprised there are no reports of the Eagles being interested so who knows.

Eh I don’t know… there was about a 3, maybe 4 year span where he played at an All-Pro level. Don’t know if that’s enough.
 

In fairness, it’s getting tougher and tougher for defensive players to make the HOF.

Giants backup is better than Eagles starter.

The recent salary cap can kicking was going to bite at some point, especially when you re-up the Center year on year. Howie's wonder boy act last year to get players in just moved the pain a year into a future year and maybe more.

Safety and Linebacker are a worry, but a long term fix wasn't going to arrive on day one or two of FA

Being part of the All-Decade team was huge for him, coupled with the championship. I like his chances when all is said and done.

and I agree I’d like a 5th round TE as well. Kolar, Turner, Ferguson.

A good GM monitors everything, one never knows what might happen.

It's not just getting the player, it's another team getting the player and shaking loose a player you might be interested in.

Cox in no way, shape or form is a HOF’er considering his recent play. Can’t see him making anymore probowls or allpros in the future, which I think would be required considering his body of work.

If they signed Reid or Williams, the latter whom they were in on, would have solved one of the safety spots long term.

I've always been a Tyrod Taylor fan.  That was more of a compliment towards him than a diss of Hurts.  They are probably more of the same and I think Hurts ceiling is a Tyrod Taylor kind of career.
