Do you know Derek Carr got 3 votes for MVP in 2016?

He had 3937 yards, and 28-5 TD/INT ratio. He lost out to Matty Ryan who had an unreal year.

The last 4 years he's thrown over 4k yards, with last year hitting 4804.

I'm not saying Carr is the answer for us. But he's worlds better than Hurts. And he's certainly better than Tannehill, Jimmy G, and you could even argue Dak. You're really underselling Carr.

Did you know 2016 was 6 years ago? Ryan Tannehill has blown his socks off since then. I’m judging Derek Carr on 2022 and a bit before for reference. Cam Newton won the NFL MVP in 2015, that’s even better than getting a couple votes in 2016. Do you think he also should be on this list?

Pray for him to retire?  They'd have to cut him.  Nobody wants that bloated salary.  He's untradeable.

And again, I think Deshaun is from Atlanta, otherwise I don't see any reason why he'd want this.  You're actually going to a situation that's even worse than Houston.

His 2022 salary is $8.75 million. That's a bargain for a 1 year bridge QB. Kyle Shanahan coached him for years.

The NFL is so racist that multiple teams are lining up to trade 3 years worth of 1st round draft picks and multiple core players for an AA quarterback who still has 22 open civil lawsuits of sexual assault.

What does race have to do with it.  He would automatically be the 3rd best QB in the NFC.

Daily reminder Watson isn’t coming here, must we continue?

And that's with Waller missing significant time, having very little on the outside, and a sieve of an o-line in front of him. Basically Renfrow over the middle and scrubs on the outside. He'd be arguably the 3rd-5th best QB in our conference.

They've got the o-line he needs to stay upright at least.

People keep saying this about the Colts line, but as a Jonathan Taylor owner in fantasy football last year, I watched them a ton, and honestly, that line looked like hot garbage quite a bit.  The last two weeks of the season when they imploded, they couldn't block jack ish.

Walker doing backer drills at proday , I think he goes top 10

He’s friends with Blank from Watson’s first job as a ball boy for the Falcons.

Literally WTF.  This makes no sense from either side.

First, for the Falcons, I love Watson, I think he's an MVP caliber player, but he's not worth that much.

For Deshaun,  why in the world would he want to go to Atlanta after they've traded away all of their receivers, a ton of high draft picks, etc. to get him?  They literally are in cap hell (because of him), no chance of signing any skill players to help him, and no draft picks to use.

Wait.  Actually, maybe this should happen.  Screw Deshaun for saying no to Philly.  Good luck with the dirty birds Deshaun!

Isn't he from there?  Maybe that means more to him than being on a contender.  Stupid, I know, but some people are like that.

Agreed. Still think we get 5 Georgia defenders in RD1 (Walker, Davis, Wyatt, Cine, Dean)

I want Wyatt

edit or Cine too

The issue isn't black players not getting opportunities or earning power -- the issue is limited opportunities for head coaching, GM, executive and ownership openings.

The Ownership thing is bogus IMO..  Most teams would sell for roughly $3-$4 billion..  There are only like 15 total black billionaires in the world with probably 4 or 5 living in the states.  Of that group there is probably 1 or 2 total that could afford to be an NFL owner.

I was being sarcastic with my post that probably didn't come off that way.  Your point is what many believe, race shouldn't matter, talent does.

4800 yards at 63% completion. You can take any QB in the top 20 and ask them to throw the ball 626 times (yes that’s really how many attempts it took him), they’re gonna put up a ballooned stat in yards. Eli Manning threw 4900 yards one year. This tells us they abandoned the run more often than other teams, likely because they were behind early due to Carr having the third highest turnover number in the whole NFL.

As you're seemingly a Bulldogs fan, could you provide a quick breakdown for your thoughts on their top prospects? Any stand out? Any overhyped?

Curious if Lurie, a progressive owner of being one of the first NFL owners to hire a full-time front office female Catherine Raiche was concerned about the optics of doing that and then trading for an accused sexual assaulter of women. After seeing him gloat on Twitter the other day that he wasn't being charged.

I am not sure I understand the operating theory behind this.  It's not like they're hiring him to be a head coach.

So what are we now, the copper standard? Tin?

Will be interesting to see what transpired in the front office a year from now on the Watson conversations. I assume that Howie & Lurie had differing views on it and ultimately Lurie didn't approve the trade.

I'd welcome him here in a heartbeat.  I actually love his game.  If they trade Cox, Hargrave, Ioannidis, Williams and high draft pick would be a nice 4 DT rotation.
