It's just annoying how everything here is some constructed narrative.  We signed one guy from Temple and now another team released another guy from Temple who we haven't even been linked to and now it becomes "oh we can only attract guys from Temple."

Pretty much whatever anyone doesn't want to happen becomes a narrative about how Howie can't resist himself even when it goes completely against what he's been doing for 15 years.  It's just annoying how little actual football discussion goes on here.

1. it was a joke

2. In then span of one week the Eagles have on record been rejected by 2 QB's and 1 S. It's not a popular place right now.

But really, this only makes sense if they're planning to deal Cox

Not hammering you, but figured we would cover this so people get over this idea.

And before anyone talks about restructuring, you can not restructure signing bonus money that is already paid and spread out future years into the cap.  The money highlighted below comes due the moment he is traded.

Kendrick just killed his stock with that 40.

Kendrick is essentially off most teams boards...or should be.

Fits an offseason narrative too. We're getting "Philly guys."

Good player. Considering age, he might be one of my favorite guys available right now.

But really, this only makes sense if they're planning to deal Cox. Otherwise, how many Fing DTs do you need...

I LOVED and still love the Milton pick. F that NC State scrub.

Do you know Derek Carr got 3 votes for MVP in 2016?

He had 3937 yards, and 28-5 TD/INT ratio. He lost out to Matty Ryan who had an unreal year.

The last 4 years he's thrown over 4k yards, with last year hitting 4804.

I'm not saying Carr is the answer for us. But he's worlds better than Hurts. And he's certainly better than Tannehill, Jimmy G, and you could even argue Dak. You're really underselling Carr.

Did you know 2016 was 6 years ago? Ryan Tannehill has blown his socks off since then. I’m judging Derek Carr on 2022 and a bit before for reference. Cam Newton won the NFL MVP in 2015, that’s even better than getting a couple votes in 2016. Do you think he also should be on this list?

Ah I guess you just ignored the rest of his stats?

Tannehill 2021 - 357/531 3734 yards, 21 TDs, 14 INTs

Carr 2021 - 428/626, 4804 yards, 23 TDs, 14 INTs

What?

Point was really the DT position is too full now to add Ioannidis. I think you're going overboard with the cap stuff.

I sort of lost interest in Kendrick after Dabo booted him off the team at Clemson.  He's headed for late-round pick or UDFA, I would think

You know who I'm tired of?  Ray Didinger.  He's self serving a righteous.  We don't care about your play Ray.  We know, it runs every year...big Fing deal.  And his yellow notepads and him reviewing them on camera with his glasses is so GD staged.

The guy's old school and handwrites his notes. He's not only old school but well, old...so needs reading glasses. What a d0uchecanoe!

Cox's contract is a lot more complicated than that.

Ridgeway is gone. Tuiopolutudsposoturd sucks. Wilson was an UDFA. And Wren is a body. So that essentially leaves Cox, Hargrave and Milton. Ioannidis is an upgrade over everyone but Hargrave and Milton. I'd sign him in a second.

Oh wait.

That entire show is awful. Caught it on youtube a few times. Michael Barkann is insufferable.

CHAMPIONSHIP.

Walker is going high, we would have to trade up. Love a few of the safeties, they desperately need 1. Tindall would suffice at LB in that round. I think I want two seconds, and take a little bit better of a LB there.

Barkann's hipster blue glasses annoy me way more than anything Ray does. I also get annoyed that Brooks always sits in the corner by himself, may as well wear a dunce cap.

On a bargain contract, sure. But I'm not paying a 3rd or 4th DT anywhere close to starter money when they're already paying Cox and Hargrave and Milton Williams is here.

Oh I agree. No shot at Walker without a trade up. 1st round my semi-realistic fantasy would be Ojabo or J Johnson, Andrew Booth, and Devonte Wyatt.

What?

I replied to that to another poster who quoted you:

4800 yards in an aggregiously pass heavy offense. You can take any QB in the top 20 and ask them to throw the ball 626 times (yes that’s really how many attempts it took him), they’re gonna put up a ballooned stat in yards. Eli Manning threw 4900 yards one year. That in no way means he’s as good as any QB who didn’t throw 4900 yards. This tells us they abandoned the run more often than other teams, likely because they were behind early due to Carr having the third highest turnover number in the whole NFL.

Carr’s ranking on my list is also commensurate with his career trajectory up until this point. Tannehill has been stellar the last 4 years, this year not being as strong. Despite the absurdly higher attempts, Care’s TD numbers did not escalate far beyond Tannehill’s. They did not lead his team to better opportunities than Tannehill. Tannehill’s QBR was higher than Carr’s because of this.

Asking a QB to throw the ball more doesn’t automatically make them better at throwing the football. Tannehill was more proficient with fewer attempts.

What's Myles Jack doing in your sig?  I thought you labelled him as Singleton?

It's still amazing they are giving all this plus two 3rds and letting Scherff walk to fit Carson Wentz

Cox may very well be gone this year, and I'd say him and Hargrave both are definitely gone next year. Turning over to Wyatt, Milton, Ioannidis, whoever is good succession planning IF they can get him for a good price. I agree there.

I was :fishing: calling him the black Alex Singleton. Nobody took the bait. lol
