March 16, 20223 yr Read something yesterday that said the Browns and Eagles aren't high on his list of teams because he doesn't like cold climates and would prefer to play in a dome ideally. Can't remember where I read it. The Browns and Eagles are the two most attractive destinations roster-wise. The Browns would be really good with Watson. They had a damn good year in 2020 with an average QB in Mayfield. Down year in 2021 due to injuries. Great run game, picked up Cooper. For Watson to not have interest in them either tells you that maybe the stuff about him playing for a winner and in a good offense was less important to him than being close to his hometown and in a warmer climate and possibly less liberal city - if that's a factor at all. But honestly, who knows. I still think if the Eagles wanted him, they'd have met with him. He met with the Browns and apparently he isn't thrilled about them. If the Eagles didn't meet with him, tells you the Eagles didn't have the desire to.
March 16, 20223 yr Wasn't there some twitter guy on Sunday or Monday saying a trade was going to happen in days?
March 16, 20223 yr 4 minutes ago, What The F said: Help me out with this. For a player like Watson with a full no trade clause... If he is ONLY willing to be traded to team X, and team X knows that and offers Houston a ham sammich for him, then what? If Watson can force his way to whichever team he wants, what option does Houston have other than accepting whatever offer they are given? Essentially the Dolphins were the only team in the market last season, and they reportedly offered 3 first round picks and 2 second round picks. An acquiring team still has to make an acceptable offer to the team holding Watson's rights (HOU). If HOU deems no offer acceptable they could tell Watson's agent he can either provide another list of teams, or sit out. It all depends on leverage. HOU holds less leverage because Watson has to OK the trading partner, but HOU still holds leverage because 1) they hold his rights, and 2) Watson wants to resume his career.

He’s also from the south as part of it. I think the browns are currently the best team/roster and they have at least a 3 year window if they get watson with that roster. However I’m guessing he’s not thrilled of at prospects of living in Cleveland. I believe they have long term sustainability with them. Down side is it’s cleveland and the afc is stacked That said i think out of Carolina, saints and falcons, I’d choose saints over those three. Falcons by far would be the worse spot due to roster construction (bad oline, bad defense, no RB (Patterson a FA)) and devoid of picks once he’s dealt for and cap situation isn’t ideal. Carolina like atlanta has had a bad oline for a while now. They haven’t fixed it when they spent picks and money. Their defense is solid but lost reddick and likely Gilmore. Add on they were already at a deficit of picks due to that Gilmore trade. They have good WRs and a injury prone back. tepper is a owner who will spend but his FO and coach might be gone at the end of next year as neither have been very good. Say what you want about the saints cap issues but their roster last year won 9 games with siemian and taysom hill starting 10 games and Winston starting 7. Allen isn’t Payton but having watson would boost that team significantly. If kamara doesn’t go to jail and Thomas comes back they have the oline and some playmakers to be a good playoff team. And their defense is good. And it’s not like their window is slamming shut with watson. It’s likely at least a 2-3 year window.

March 16, 20223 yr Yesss...Eagles on the list of 5 teams, and the only team ahead of us pick wise is the Jets. Could they take him at 10? Either way...

But I’d still argue their oline is much better than Carolina and atlanta. Frankly it is not that close in that area. I’d argue their defense is also better than both. Also I’d trust their GM Mickey loomis over anything in Carolina and falcons front office
March 16, 20223 yr If Allen Robinson goes to whatever team Watson goes to(and that isn't the Eagles) I'm going to lose my crap. If the Saints can start FA 70m over the cap and add Armstead AND Watson And ARob AND Maye, then I don't want to hear anyone worry about the cap ever again.

March 16, 20223 yr 1 hour ago, Aerolithe_Lion said: I replied to that to another poster who quoted you: 4800 yards in an aggregiously pass heavy offense. You can take any QB in the top 20 and ask them to throw the ball 626 times (yes that’s really how many attempts it took him), they’re gonna put up a ballooned stat in yards. Eli Manning threw 4900 yards one year. That in no way means he’s as good as any QB who didn’t throw 4900 yards. This tells us they abandoned the run more often than other teams, likely because they were behind early due to Carr having the third highest turnover number in the whole NFL. Carr’s ranking on my list is also commensurate with his career trajectory up until this point. Tannehill has been stellar the last 4 years, this year not being as strong. Despite the absurdly higher attempts, Care’s TD numbers did not escalate far beyond Tannehill’s. They did not lead his team to better opportunities than Tannehill. Tannehill’s QBR was higher than Carr’s because of this. Asking a QB to throw the ball more doesn’t automatically make them better at throwing the football. Tannehill was more proficient with fewer attempts. Lol you couldn't be more wrong. Let's just use Tannehills numbers since he joined the Titans. 2019 - 201/286, 70.3% 22 TD 6 Int; averages 228.5 yards per game 2020 - 315/481 65.5% 33 and 7, avg 238.7 ypg 2021 - 357/531, 67.2% 21/14, 219.6 ypg Carr 2019 - 361/513 70.4% 21/8, 253.4 ypg 2020 - 348/517 67.3%, 27/9, 256.4 ypg 2021 - 428/626 68.4%, 23/14, 282.6 ypg So every single year, Carr has a better completion percentage and yards per game. GTFO. When Tannehill was asked to throw more (this last year, because the best RB in the league got hurt), he couldn't handle the increase. Carr is a superior QB to Tannehill.

However i still trust their oline much more than Carolina and falcons. Their offensive lines aren’t just bad they are bottom five in the league and they’ve been trying to fix them for about half a decade now. i trust Mickey loomis over anything Carolina and atlanta has, Thomas is likely back, I’m guessing watson wants robinson/fuller coming there and their defense was a top 10 defense last year (total yards per game were 7th and 4th in ppg). I get why they said yesterday he was leaning more towards the saints. I’d trust that organization to build long term sustainable success with what they have built in the past more than atlanta and Carolina who’ve since 2017 have collapsed and with newer GMs that haven’t really proven much.
