The committee has come out with the seedings for each region of the 2022 EMB Racist bracket. Got some good matchups

Russell Wilson is 33 and I could see him playing at a high level for another 4-5 years.  I don't think Philly will be on his list to waive his no-trade clause but I could see Howie pursuing it, depending on cost.

Aaron Rodgers is a non-issue to me.  He's 39 and will probably only play another 1-2 years.  He's a flake, he's selfish and takes no accountability.  Wouldn't be worth the cost at all and I doubt he leaves GB when all is said and done.

Watson is 26 and if he's not indicted by the grand jury I would think he'll be eligible to play next season, after serving a suspension of 6-8 games (if Big Ben is the precedent).  I think Howie will kick the tires on him if he stays out of jail, but I think there's another team somewhere who will overpay -- like the Rams did with Jalen Ramsey.

Meatloaf and Louie Anderson in the same day. RIP

Part of what may drive the price and motivation for the Eagles is Watson not ending up in New York or Washington.

Foles has been injured.  (100% injury rate in the NFL, btw).  Super Bowl + Playoff wins trumps any injury concerns, imo.

The important question isn't whether Foles has won a Super Bowl.  The question is whether he can win another.  If not, why would you acquire him?

You talked about Watson's reaching his ceiling in the same post about Hurts not reaching his ceiling.

A Strawman argument would go like this:

AceNova- "I like Jalen Hurts".

4for4- "Why do you hate winning in the playoffs"?

Not when you reference both QB's and their potential in the same post and then argue that you weren't comparing them.

So does that mean you recognize that their ceiling's are vastly different?

Arguing just to argue

Maybe -- but it will come down to his no-trade clause and waive list.  Eagles fans might have to brace themselves that Philly won't be on his list and New York might.  I doubt WFT, but Snyder might be invaluable for mentoring Watson how to stay out of trouble with the law -- that has allure.

Horrible reasoning for destroying your cap and draft pick capital.

Yup. Watson is 26 years old, you have legit 10 year window to put a Superbowl roster around him. If that's not a long term fix, I don't know what is.

For comparative purposes, Pickett is soon to be 24 years old and Wentz is 29.

Guess you could have said that about Goff after his second season. :whistle:Or Wentz after 2017. Or . . .

If I were picking QBs to crash and burn, Watson (style of play, holds the ball too long and takes hits, mental stability) would be close to the top than the bottom of the list.

And he's won a grand total of one PO game, not exactly a strong record - Houston never had a top ten offense with him at the helm (17, 11, 14, 18th in points).

It's not that Watson isn't good, but to me he's more in the Wentz/Cousins category, guy can put up great numbers but . . . with the added baggage that he's a sexual predator.

So if you want to win a SB, Watson ain't gonna carry you, like most good QBs, you'd better build an elite team around him.

I cant imagine any QB wanting to win taking the NYG over the Eagles as a destination right now. NY- no GM, no HC, bad team. Oline stinks.

Philly - GM , HC, Just Went to the playoffs with sub par QB, has good oline, and young WR talent.

Both are NFC East-

Another reason that Watson would be a good move, this guy thinks it would not be.

Great process

Obtaining what would likely be the best QB in your division for years to come > Draft Capital. (QB the most important position in all of sports, when you lack one, you have no real shot at winning, when you have one, you normally have a shot to be competitive.)

Daboll to follow?

That would be bad.  Those guys could fix that team quickly.  What would they do at QB ??

Only til HOWIE makes it happen, then his tune would change, because he trusts Howie implicitly.

Bob Saget?

Until we make the move, then. "Watson is a top quarterback in the league..........."

No, wasn't he closer to the Betty White and John Madden deaths?

All the above is Jalen Hurts except Hurts can't pass nor will he ever even win one playoff game and he's easily confused and scared to stay in the pocket.

Don’t worry I’m sure mahomes is about to prove himself. Any day now. Could be if he gets to his 4th consecutive afc title game or 3rd consecutive SB or his 4th year in a row he’s been top 10 or 5 in every statistical passing category.

He has started 63 games, I thought the magical number was 57.

@austinfan, now that Mahomes has passed your 57 game threshold, is he a franchise QB or not ??

None of them are particularly frightening. People will say Daboll, but the Bills play-calling is up and down too.

I didn't say I would go after him now and from my understanding, he basically told the Bears that he did not want to come back to Philadelphia as a backup.   The time to keep him was after the 2018 season.

Yeah but daboll was able to get the most out of josh Allen. There were a lot of people skeptical about Allen coming out of college cause he really had accuracy issues and concerns about his performances against better teams. Yet he was able to help mold and make him into a pro bowl caliber QB and one of the best in the league. If they believe in Daniel jones that much they have to be enticed by the possibility he could do that assuming they fix the oline

Very interesting 1st round mock. Lots of new names/places. Jeremiah is plugged in too.
