Let's just use Tannehills numbers since he joined the Titans. 2019 - 201/286, 70.3% 22 TD 6 Int; averages 228.5 yards per game 2020 - 315/481 65.5% 33 and 7, avg 238.7 ypg 2021 - 357/531, 67.2% 21/14, 219.6 ypg Carr 2019 - 361/513 70.4% 21/8, 253.4 ypg 2020 - 348/517 67.3%, 27/9, 256.4 ypg 2021 - 428/626 68.4%, 23/14, 282.6 ypg So every single year, Carr has a better completion percentage and yards per game. GTFO. When Tannehill was asked to throw more (this last year, because the best RB in the league got hurt), he couldn't handle the increase. Carr is a superior QB to Tannehill. Convenient you ommitted many important stats. Removing context does not qualify anything. Derek Carr 2019-2021: 1656 attempts: 71 TDs, 31 INT, leading to QBR’s of 64.1, 64, 52. Ryan Tannehill 2019-2021: 1298 attempts: 76 TD, 27 INT. QBRs of 64.2, 72, and 56… better every single year than Derek Carr. Yards per game doesn’t show anything other than that the team asked him to throw a lot more. Again, asking a QB to throw more doesn’t automatically make him better. Any QB can be asked to throw more. But Tannehill was much more efficient with the football and the stats back this up.
March 16, 20223 yr Do Schefter and Rapsheet hate one another? I noticed that they will always credit other reporters for being first except each other. Schefter will credit Josina Anderson, Pelissero, Garafolo, etc. Rapsheet will credit ESPN guys. But never each other. You don’t see that in baseball social media where guys from all networks always credit each other all the time.

Shefter used to be NFLnetwork’s insider, and Rapoport once said their relationship is that of coworkers with conflicting interests (or something like that). But I do also get the feeling it’s much more than that to Shefter

Its like the argument against Stafford: he led the league with 17 INTs. But with those 17 INTs he threw 41 TD passes, that’s absolutely worth it. Tannehill has a better TD:INT ratio than Carr in that span, and has thrown more TDs in only 3/4 of the attempts. The relativity of those turnovers is the factor.

I really don't think Watson wants to win. I think he wants to go someplace in the south. Someplace he gets lots of say over personnel and he can visit as many massage parlors as he wants. The Browns are a great destination, they could win now with him. With Watson on that team I'd argue that's an 11-12 win club that could take the AFC North. 48 minutes ago, e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! said: I’d argue of all the teams mentioned during this whole thing that atlanta is by far the worst option. They have no wide receivers as gage left in FA, Ridley is suspended for the year (tried to deal him). their offensive line stinks on espn’s pass block win rate they are 28th and 26th in run. their defense also stinks as bottom half of the league in pass and rush defense and bottom 5 in ppg. They have Kyle Pitts on offense. I’d say Patterson but he’s currently a free agent. The only thing the falcons have besides Kyle Pitts is Arthur blank is a good owner. Even if they sign will fuller or Robinson that offense is still not good. He’d basically be on the Houston Texans 2.0 especially if they deal 3 firsts and the Texans ask for pitts. And that’s not an easy fix for atlanta who cap wise would be strapped and who wouldn’t have the picks to make up for it. Atlanta seems to be the frontrunner, but it makes zero sense to me. For Deshaun, he gets to play close to home, that's pretty much the only pro. He's going to a bad team that can't improve because they traded everything to get him. For Atlanta, you can go ahead and pencil in 4 win seasons for the next 3-4 seasons at least. For Houston, man, you're getting a good receiver, and a ton of draft picks that you can use to build a winner. I'd do that in a heartbeat.

March 16, 20223 yr Maybe a dumb question, but can the Eagles agree to trade Cox right now but not have it official until June 1? Or would the trade not be announced and agreed to until then?

Wow you two have been jibber jabbering back and forth for hours and yet neither have mentioned that tannenhill hands the ball off to Derek Henry all day and passes against stacked boxes and 8 man fronts. I like Tannenhill, and he's no more than a game manager. Give Carr Henry and he most likely has better numbers than Tanenhill IMO. Having said that maybe one of you mentioned Henry and I missed it🤷♂️
