October 20, 2024Oct 20 I just booked two day trips in mid-November down below Wilmington, NC. One for inshore fishing which should be redfish and trout. The other nearshore/offshore pending what the activity looks like at that point. I'll get some pics if we get anything.
October 30, 2024Oct 30 Author got out a couple times for archery, but nothing i could shoot came within range. had a spike graze 15yrds in front of me for about 20mins. everything else was close to 70yrds away. with that said, im getting a muzzleloader. looking at the cva wolf v2.

November 21, 2024Nov 21 Big day 25 miles offshore fishing a wreck for Amberjacks and then a shelf for King Mackerel. We literally could not even get the bait out before a fish hit. We lost count at around 25 fish that were landed in the 12-40 pound category. We also lost a few to sharks on the way in. The big one that got away was a shark we got up close enough to see after 75 mins of fighting before the line broke. The captain said it was over 300 pounds. The tackle we were using for the kings just wasn’t enough to move that guy and eventually we had to risk it and lost him. Below is my buddy with one of the AJacks.

Amberjack is a good meaty fish if it doesn't have worms
April 7Apr 7 Author got out for opening day trout saturday. limited out in less than an hour. fished for about two hours total using power eggs, landed 10 out of 14 hits. going out again today after work if it's not raining too hard.
June 16Jun 16 Anyone doing any hunt trips this year? I drew elk and mule deer muzzleloader tags for Colorado again for this year, so I'll be headed out in September for my 6th hunt out there. I've filled a tag on 3 of 5 hunts so far, so hoping I can make it 4 for 6!
June 19Jun 19 If anyone is near the area, I found out about a cool thing in Columbia/Montour counties. I signed up my older son. Seems cool for kids but adults can do it too. You get a sticker for each species of fish you catch. If kids catch at least 6 of the listed species, or 9 different species for adults, you get a "Master Angler" patch, and hat.Got started trying this "tournament" yesterday. Took my son to the Susquehanna yesterday. Tried a spot in Berwick, and Bloomsburg. Then headed to the Montour preserve for the lake. 0 fish caught so far.

July 6Jul 6 Tried again. Susquehanna river in bloomsburg, tiny, tiny small mouth bass.pond in bloomsburg town park. NothingFishing creek in orangeville nothing.Mahoning creek in Danville. nothing.Lake Chilisaqua at Montour Preserve. Nothing.I havent hit the best fishing days but this damn master angler tournament has proven to be a huge waste of time considering I dont exactly live locally. We have 1 catch after 2 days of fishing numerous spots, numerous different lures and techniques. Probably done trying to do that thing. Will catch fish locally and self declare ourselves champions like the UCF football team.

September 16Sep 16 I’m sitting on the side of a mountain in Colorado currently - no kills for me yet. Seeing lots of deer - only one elk. Saw a bull moose which was pretty cool - and my buddy saw a mountain lion this morning. Not so cool.
