Feel free to disagree, but I don't think the intentions are nefarious.

Feel free to disagree, but I don't think the intentions are nefarious. I'm thinking that isn't reasonable at all. The kid may simply be uncomfortable which is far far from "harm" or "abuse". I'd favor a more stringent standard, i.e. other contributing factors that would lead the educator to reach an assumption of "likely to cause harm/abuse". If that standard is met for an individual case then yeah I'd agree 100%

Is it retarded to let your kid be on hormone pills before they turn 18? Absolutely. Is it retarded for Florida to have codified this into law when there’s a billion other problems happening in this ish hole of a state? Oh yeah. DeSantis is currently falling into the Pence hole. When Pence was governor, he didn’t advance an agenda that would help the state, he advanced an agenda that would help him get into national politics. DeSantis is doing the same thing. Pre-COVID DeSantis wasn’t bad. Post-COVID DeSantis is a complete tool. On 3/31/2022 at 9:22 AM, toolg said: Practically this makes no sense. Disney was given quasi-government rights over the community when Disney World was built. It has never existed under anything else. Can the state even seize the community's assets: roads, utilities, fire companies, etc.? Then the state wants to run this community themselves? What a mess it would be. I guarantee you that Orange County wants absolutely none of that. Like the size and scale of operations at Disney World is insane. It’s unbelievably complex. Just to put things in perspective, one Disney World park (and there are four of them, not even counting the water parks, or Disney Springs, or the Hotels or other amenities), just one park, generated $6M in revenue… per day. The logistics, manpower, and infrastructure to support their revenue stream in the hospitality industry is insane.

I guess they never got around to polling Bill or he would have probably started weeping uncontrollably talking about right wing authoritarianism.
