Philly Moms for Liberty Chapter Organizer Is Registered Sex Offender

https://www.thedailybeast.com/philadelphia-moms-for-liberty-leader-phillip-fisher-jr-is-registered-sex-offender-report

Quote

A faith-based outreach leader for Philadelphia’s Moms for Liberty (M4L) chapter is a registered sex offender who has a felony conviction for sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy. The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Phillip Fisher Jr. pleaded guilty to the crime in 2012, when he was 25 and living in Chicago. Fisher, a Republican ward leader, is also pastor of the Center of Universal Divinity in Olney; in 2020, children worked with his congregation to paint a Donald Trump campaign mural at the church. Sheila Armstrong, the Philly M4L chapter chair, said Fisher volunteered at the national group’s 2023 summit in the city and that he’d planned to volunteer at her autism nonprofit’s Christmas party. Fisher told the Inquirer that the charges against him were concocted by the late conspiracy theorist Lyndon LaRouche’s PAC, for which he once worked.

How not shocking.

‘Let Us Prey’ Exposes ‘Training Ground for Pedophiles’

https://www.thedailybeast.com/let-us-prey-exposes-training-ground-for-pedophiles

A new docuseries about the Independent Fundamentalist Baptist church takes viewers inside the shocking religious cult that allegedly enslaves women and abuses children.

Seems to be a problem.

Wait is that actually a movie? I saw the trailer posted in another thread and thought it was a really bad political parody short thing… i had no idea it was actually a full length movie. That’s equal parts hilarious and sad… but not hilarious in the way it intends…

Soooo moms for liberty founder sleeps with women.  Shocked I tell you

If Moms for Liberty co-founder had sex with a woman, why is she targeting Florida’s gays? | Opinion

Wouldn’t it be ironic if the woman who led an ultra-conservative movement in Florida education that sought to put gays back in the closet was having a long-term, three-way lesbian relationship with a lover she shared with her husband, the state’s GOP chairman?

That’s the allegation being made about Bridget Ziegler — co-founder of far-right Moms for Liberty and a Sarasota School Board member — by an unnamed woman accusing Christian Ziegler of rape and sexual battery.

Hypocrisy on steroids, if true.

The crusading ideologue — who demanded private Christian school-style mores in public schools, from grades K-12, when high-school students are either close to or already adults — is now facing the ultimate scrutiny of her sex life.

Christian Ziegler, according to a laboriously redacted Sarasota police report released to media Thursday after the Florida Trident, a watchdog news outlet, broke the news, is under an "active criminal investigation.”

He’s accused of going to the woman’s house without Bridget on Oct. 2 and raping her, according to the police and media reports citing law-enforcement sources

WIFE’S ALLEGED SECRET LIFE

His wife isn’t facing any charges.

But, in the context of the investigation, the woman revealed to the police officer who initially responded and the investigating detective her long-running "three-way” sex life with the couple.

First of all, I have no care what consenting adults do in their own home in private. It is none of my business. Rape is a different story.

When they go in front of the public denouncing those things they did in private.... It shows how morally bankrupt they are. Because if they are shaming people in public for stuff they do privately, what does that say about the intentions of their conduct?

The Moms for Liberty group isn't about hating gays, they're just against ghey pornography in elementary school libraries. Because liberals are mentally retarded and can't separate reality from the fake news about the dreaded "don't say gay bill," they can't stope themselves from thinking that everyone who opposes ghey porn in school libraries is against ghey people in general. It's actually pretty funny to watch.

The story's funny but I don't think we should be discouraging solid 7's from having lesbian sex/threeways.

Most likely fake news.

CLAIM: The state of Florida banned "To Kill a Mockingbird” in schools, along with a number of other popular titles on a "Banned Book List.”

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. A spokesperson for Gov. Ron DeSantis confirmed that the state has not banned "To Kill a Mockingbird.” A school district in Florida’s Palm Beach County removed the title from school libraries earlier this year as part of a review, but later returned it, according to district documents. The "Banned Book List” shared across social media this week is also bogus, and includes many titles that aren’t banned in Florida, according to groups that track book bans and challenges.

THE FACTS: Florida hasn’t forced schools to stop teaching Harper Lee’s classic novel "To Kill a Mockingbird,” despite misleading posts that amassed thousands of shares on social media over the weekend.

The false claim erupted after various social media users shared a list of book titles and said it showed books banned in Florida. "To Kill a Mockingbird” was on the list, as were other well-known titles including "A Wrinkle in Time,” "The Giver,” and "Of Mice and Men.”

Bryan Griffin, press secretary for Florida’s Republican governor, confirmed in several tweets that the claim was false.

"The State of Florida has not banned To Kill a Mockingbird,” Griffin tweeted on Sunday. "In fact, Florida RECOMMENDS the book in 8th grade.” The tweet linked to Florida’s state Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking, or BEST, standards, which include the book as a sample text for eighth grade students.

Jeremy Redfern, deputy press secretary for the governor, told The Associated Press in an email that there is no banned book list at the state level, and that the "Banned Book List” circulating online was fake.

temporarily removing it from a single county is totally the same as the book being banned. Very strong point, admiral.

TBF, I have mixed feelings about To Kill a Mockingbird. It was not one of my favorite reads. I thought the way characters were portrayed was contrived and gratuitous, especially the southern accent. They all seemed like fake caricatures. Yet there is no reason the book should be removed from shelves.
