December 5, 20232 yr TBF, I have mixed feelings about To Kill a Mockingbird. It was not one of my favorite reads. I thought the way characters were portrayed was contrived and gratuitous, especially the southern accent. They all seemed like fake caricatures. Yet there is no reason the book should be removed from shelves.
