Each school had to create a database of every individual book in the school and publish it, so every busybody could search it up and challenge each and every book in the library. Every new book purchased had to be reported to the public. For each challenge the school had to report it to the state, whether it was valid or not. The bill was intrusive and it went too far. Agreed. My posts were in response to the notion that DeSantis would limit the ability to request reviews of books from the list to only people that had children in the school. Assuming those requests go through the Board, all tax payers have the same rights regardless of whether or not they have children that attend the school, and you cannot restrict those rights for one group but not another. That was my point.

March 2, 20242 yr Never read the book, and fell asleep during the movie, but my wife said there's another super disturbing part in the book where one of the kids suffocates their sister that's a baby sleeping in her crib? Sounds like a pretty F'ed up book all around.
