Recently one of the high schools wanted to put on the high school adaptation of Rent, which softens some of the more objectionable (if you can call it that) content from the full production of Rent, and they were denied without explanation. May 14, 20223 yr I'm going to guess that maybe the teacher broke a policy with regard to how to handles these types of situations where they maybe are required to turn it over to guidance counseling or at least immediately open a discussion with them. I'd like to think any policy would include the ability for a teacher to help a kid in the manner the kid describes even if the teacher was required to report it internally.

So the kid went to this teacher who shared resources outside the district, which seems to be getting more hostile in these situations. I believe this particular middle school servers Doylestown Boro, which is a relatively blue little town surrounded by a sea of red. A microcosm of PA except the same school district services both areas. Our district was featured in the NY Times when masking was being hotly debated. The gross behavior on both sides of that issue resulted in one school board member resigning because of threats of violence against him and his family (by pro maskers btw) It's getting pretty ef'd up.
