But are they? The Food and Drug Administration considers aesthetic breast augmentation for patients less than 18 years of age to be an off-label use. The FDA has not approved breast augmentation in patients younger than 18 for the following reasons: Teens and their parents may not realise the risks associated with breast implants. Seems to me you can't get the surgery until the age of 18.

I have no right to restrict the rights of others because of my feelings. I am generally against any kind of permanent physical changes to kids under 18 but Im not going to pretend to know what the parents of a transgendered kid has to go through. I can’t imagine having to choose between finding an effective treatment for my child or possibly finding them dead in their bedroom someday.
