I generally agree, but children are different under the law. Once someone is 18, they can do whatever the hell they please. And while generally speaking we allow those under 18 to do things with parental consent, we have passed laws to protect children, even from their parents. We have laws that don't permit children under a certain age to work, regardless of parental consent, as an example. I think the law and FDA should ban gender/hormone altering treatments for those under 18. Once someone is an adult, go crazy.

It’s not something that I think should be used as a first option and I really doubt most parents would anyway. Is there really a huge problem with parents allowing their kids to transition at the first mention of it? These kids are killing themselves at a pretty high rate and certain treatment have been proven to lower suicide rates by a considerable amount. I can’t imagine having to make that choice but unlike the sicko lawmaker who said they rather have their TG kill themselves instead of treating them, I’d rather see my kid alive, period.
