Why would I do that? That was JonSnows point.

Hes using random quotes to assess the relative danger of each political party.  I care less about quotes and more about political platforms.

And everything the left touches has gone to absolute ish.  I dont agree with their view of culture, laws, morals, really anything at all.  The Democratic party has shifted too far left

 He's saying there are no politicians from the left who match that level of MTG crazy, you disagreed by saying the left is worse, and when challenged to provide examples, you're asking why you'd do that. Good talk as always, Mike!

Trump, on the other hand, is the most serious candidate in the history of politics. Bigly serious. A seriousness the likes of which we've never seen!

They're all basically morons. But yeah, at the current time, the GOP morons are louder and more dangerous.

1. I've already said Im no longer voting for Trump

2. Im not a Republican.  For the millionth time, I cant vote in the primaries.  Im just anti-Democrat.

3. Between those three Im not sure, I might actually lean Christie but he seems like hes not a serious candidate and just in it to score points.

sorry i dont follow every detail you post on this board, but you can understand why i'd think you are a republican. i am and i admit it. im trying to bring some sanity back to the party by voting for a better choice over trump. anyone is better.

christie is absolutely real and he is very willing to get in the sheet slinging ring with trump and donny is already scared. why else would he be trying not to join any gop debates ? he's scared. he knows christie will bury him and desantis for that matter, in any debate.

Plenty of crazies on the left but none as loud as MTG, Boebert, Trump.  Not even close at this point.

 What a weird poosay.

You're gonna vote for the Rep nominee in the general no matter who it is but you won't register as a Republican and actually have a say in who the nominee is because you don't want to have to defend the guy you're definitely going to vote for?  So brave.

give them long enough and they will eventually turn on each other and start calling each other names on the senate floor. .

oh wait ...

The larger issue is the "adults" in the GOP have actually given them power. Someone like McCarthy actually parrots their stupidity while also defending Trump. Mitch at least has stopped doing that and ignores the idiots like Tuberville. The psychos in the house chair committees (e.g., Comer).

Indeed.  I was super upset with them back in the end of January 2020 after which I stopped caring as the jig was up.  They simply caved.

im probably wasting my time and living in dreamland thinking my party can be saved from itself, but i have to keep trying and hope someday the fringe element loses its lure.

Mike is embarrassed by the Republican Party even though him and his ilk are the reason the Republican Party is embarrassing.  It's a weird circular logic.

At least Johnson had the sense of mind to correct himself:

According to the Hill, a spokesman for Johnson responded to the incident by saying the congressman is concerned the influx of military personnel will overwhelm the island's infrastructure and ecosystem.

If Johnson's remarks were meant figuratively, he had a legitimate point.

The United States plans to move thousands of Marines and their families, about 8,000 people in all, to the small island of Guam, which has a current population of about 180,000. To prepare for the military buildup, the government is constructing new facilities on the island like an additional Marine base and a new airfield.

At the peak of construction, Guam's population would increase by 79,000 people, or about 45 percent, the Washington Post reported. The Environmental Protection Agency has reportedly said the military buildup could trigger island-wide water shortages and overload sewage systems and other public utilities.

Update 6:30 p.m. ET: Johnson released a statement on Thursday saying he was joking, according to CNN.

"The subtle humor of this obviously metaphorical reference to a ship capsizing illustrated my concern about the impact of the planned military buildup on this small tropical island," the statement said

i had a trumper argue with me about covid, saying trump proved it was BS and then instantly added that he saved the country by getting the vaccines out so quickly.

Ive explained this before, I have never been a registered Republican.  When I signed up I was a Democrat.  Then the Dems decided to abandon my state and so I left the party.

I do vote for Democrats and Ive explained before that my grandpa actually knew Joe Manchin and helped elect him governor.

I guess every single independent or 3rd party voter is a "weird pussay"

We have this weird fascination with not voting for people who tell us they hate us and want to destroy our state.

Its "weird pussay" ish....

What's weird is how you defend Trump at every ridiculous turn.  I suppose you are just trolling and if you aren't then you appear to be a total moron.

I defend Trump when I feel it's deserved and dont defend him when its not.  If there's something specific if you want to discuss, go for it

Otherwise, spare me the Look At Me posts because Ive read posts from just about every poster in CVON and theres not a single one of you who dazzle us with intellect.  Voting for Biden doesnt make anyone smarter, thats for damn sure.

There are already more than enough posters in here pointing out specific Trump items that no sane person can defend yet you do.

Ok go find them then we'll talk.  What you're saying is total bull ish.

Independent 3rd Party voters don't breathlessly defend Trump all day, Mike.  So, no they're not weird poosays.  But embarrassed Republicans who lie about being independent while pretending they can't vote in the Republican primary absolutely are.
