What's this I hear? So Elon Musk wants to destroy Twitter like Rupert Murdoch killed MySpace?

I could see Elon using DOGE as a way to verify and get a blue check.

lmfao they're so effing mad.

More tears 🙂 I love this.

Kz, you think they’ll unban Alex Berenson?

Hopefully. Obviously Trump will be priority number 1. Alex Jones should be on the list of those invited back as well. Gavin McGinnis is another good one.

Done deal

No one should be banned unless doing something illegal, it is very easy to block what you don't want to hear

Trumpbots right now...

But I look at it as a win either way. If Trump isn't re-instated it will quite literally be the funniest thing ever. If he is back on twitter, we can revive "a tweet for every occasion"

Wow. My inclination is that I don't care, but I'm wondering if I should care. I generally see Twitter as the filthiest of an array of internet cesspools that currently hold enormous sway in our society, but I see two goods that can come of this: Musk either swiftly runs Twitter into the ground and destroys it from within, or people become so disenchanted with it that a viable competitor comes online. Any outcome that reduces Twitter's power and prominence is good in my book.

I think the funniest part in all of this is that Truth Social is officially dead before it even started.

Last time I checked the violent overthrow of our government was illegal. Similarly, encouraging others to commit crimes on one's behalf is probably something a responsible platform would seek to discourage. People have been banned from here for far less.

Nah, he's not an idiot. Twitter will be just fine. He'll give guys like Trump his account back but important people won't leave over that.

I wonder if Elon will ban the kid posting his flight logs.

That’s the last time I listen to vikas83 about stocks

It's definitely not good for Trump to again have a platform where he can incite more sedition. I guess my hope would be that a short stint back will remind people how truly despicable that guy is and that his moment back in the sun will be short-lived.

Eh, let him go ahead and incite another riot.

I'm pretty sure DWAC owners are mad. I do not own any DWAC

It's been a rough few years for you Trumpbots. You guys had the "Let's go Branon" thing which you ran into the ground in like 2 weeks, but not much else. If being able to burk your flukies to some mean tweets from your orange god again will make your lives a little better, knock yourselves out.

And of course that is where the bar should be set for content moderation, the Eagles Message board

I like Elon. I'm not even mad.

You are so ridiculous. Where between the "I don't really care about this" through my measured take on the harmful influence of a former president do you sense anger? You wish I was mad, but you're a little overeager.

Musk should hire @Moderator12
