Lol not sure where you are getting this information. Eagles can’t draft all 30 guys that visit. To say they don’t mean much is a guess. I’m sure the Eagles love wasting their own time to send smokescreens when everyone "knows” they are going oline or dline.

This is how the visits are often used. They have 30 visits... may as well use them. They likely have most of the info that they need from game tape, Senior bowl, Shrine, combine, pro days, etc. Just because a prospect visits doesn't mean they're a target. Teams use it for misdirection and illusion of interest as well. Visits could just as well be used to scratch guys off the list that they were on the fence about if they aren't 100% sure, from the info that they have already gathered. Medical examinations, football IQ checks, etc all take place during these visits.

For sure. Honestly we've heard a lot about who the eagles like it past years without much in the way of smokescreens. DGunn fwiw says Eagles aren't drafing RB in rd 1.  Kempski says he hears OL.  I'm still thinking it's Nolan Smith as of today. It's inching closer

Your guess is just as good as anyone's

I'm rather not draft Bijan at 10, but I damn sure don't want him drafted by Dallas.

He will kill us worse than Zeke used to.

The only 1st round pick that did not visit the eagles was Andre Dillard and that was only because they didn’t think he was going to fall to them. The Eagles have a history of ensuring they bring their 1st rounders in the building before drafting them. Like I said, they can’t draft all people who visit but the Eagles do their due diligence on all of their real first round targets. Eagles usually do not bring 1st round RBs in on private visits. So I think there is a fire behind all of the smoke

I can almost guarantee it will be an OT, DT or DE. Both 1st rounders.

Yeah that's the status quo. I'd be surprised if they keep 30 though.

I think trading down from 10 is better than 50/50

I think not drafting this guy will be a big mistake.

10 IS a luxury pick, Hurts’ contract WILL change the face of this teams roster for the next DECADE.

This team is in a WIN now situation for 1-2 years.

Yes, Kelce, Lane, Cox, both CB’s, possibly Devante(20-22M on the open market) will all be GONE within the next 2-3 years.

I just don’t thing there’s a dire need to draft OL DL backups now, as a preventative measure for their imminent departures 2 years from now.

Draft Lane’s backup now, and have him sit for 2 years, so we can say, "we’re good there!”

Stopping a RB for going off (120-150 yds) on us in a big spot, was always this team’s strength for years and years! And look what Pacheco did to us in the SB? You can scheme and scheme and scheme, It doesn’t matter, talent wins.

Bijan can be our Pacheco, Bijan will cut down Hurts’ workload, you can’t have a 50 million dollar guy a year running off tackle leads 100 times a year!

Im sorry, but having to rely on Rashaad Penny for ANYTHING, is huge risk.

Assuming Bijan lives up to the hype and produces year one, can you name any better 5 (QB, WR1, WR2, TE, RB) better than this potential Eagles 5 in the last 20 years?

A few things. First, they don’t have a lot of depth on the Oline. Aside from the projected starters, they have Jack Driscoll. Second, if the draft a tackle, I’m pretty sure they’ll draft a guy with the versatility to play G as well. That means he’ll compete with Jurgens this year and move into the lineup next year if Kelce retires. Then bump out to RT if Lane retires the following year.

You said it yourself, Robinson can be the Eagles Pacheco. Pacheco was a 7th rounder. That kind of proves a point. The Eagles don’t need to spend a high 1st on a RB. You can find a really good one in the lower rounds. Bedsides, this is a passing league now, most teams have some sort of RB by committee. They have their starter, 3rd down back and maybe even a goal line/short yardage guy.

I understand. I hated to use Pacheco as my argument because of his 7th round tag. I just meant to show that he is/was their bellcow on the biggest stage.

In the playoffs, defense is non existent and the running game is BEYOND huge, and Mahomes didn’t win with the passing game this time.

Are we losing the SB with Derrick Henry or Dalvin Cook or Saquan?
none of the Phi RB’s avg more than 3.0 yards per carry on the biggest stage.

Lol people don’t understand how important an elite rb would be in an RPO offense. That said, defensive line class is loaded. It’s likely they address dline with the second pick especially if Carter, Anderson, Wilson and Murphy are off the board (very likely scenario). Only other guys I can see with this pick are Peter S and Paris J. If they are all gone, I see Bijan as a realistic pick.

They’re drafting an OT, DT or DE with their 1st rounders. Even if they trade up or down. Don’t expect anything different.

I am not ruling anything out. We don’t know a damn thing. People talk about Howie and first round WRs. He drafted 2 in a row and then a year later he traded a first for AJ brown. No one anticipated that. Howie doesn’t draft CBs but was willing to draft Pat Surtain or Horn if they fell to the Eagles pick the year we got Devonta. Good thing we got Devonta. At the end of the day, yes, the most likely outcome is Oline or Dline but it all depends on how the board falls

Oline & DLine is what they need and what they value. It’s a no brainer. I’d be shocked otherwise.

Howie never had problems drafting WRs round 1. From my recollection everyone wanted a redo from the horrible Reagor miss. OL, DL clearly takes priority on his boards in the first round though

Yes he did have a problem before Reagor and Devonta. They usually signed or traded for WRs. The only one he drafted was Maclin. Don’t say Nelson. That was a Chip Kelly pick. Yes, no one disagrees with Oline and Dline as the main focus point. Not sure how many times I have to say it for y’all to catch on. That has nothing to do with my point. My point is that there is interest in Bijan from the Eagles and there is a "possibility” that he is drafted by them. Small possibility? Yes, but still a shot

You just pointed out a history of Howie and the Eagles drafting 1st round wide receivers. Depends on the roster construction and whether its a good draft for WRs as well. Always a possibility even if it's slim. I don't think anyone denies that. If Bijan is there at 30 it's a no brainer.

Not sure he makes it past Dallas (26) if he somehow is still on the board.  If we really wanted him later in the 1st guessing it would involve a trade up.  Would be funny to swing a deal with the Giants (25) to jump just ahead of Dallas and grab him.  30 plus our 2023 3rd for 25 and NY's 2023 5th ought to get it done.

Funny, I've been thinking about the idea of trading UP from 30 to get Robinson if he makes it into the 20's.  Still a long shot, but an intriguing idea nonetheless.

I know Howie will never do it based on his philosophy and history, but man, Robinson in this offense is just something I'd really love to see.

Howie is building a history of not only jumping division rivals (Goeddert) but even using division rivals to do it (Devonte). Why not bring it full circle lol
